The only Night Force figures I ever had were Charbroil, Crazy Legs and Outback. I sold them off a few years ago, and didn't really miss them at first. However, about a year ago I began reconsidering Night Force as part of my Joe team, and do see a place for them after all. The figures themselves are pretty expensive to track down, so I opted to make my own team instead at a fraction of the price. My goal with the team was to make ot my own, so I didn't want to reuse the same characters...only Outback and Tunnel Rat are carry overs. I also wanted them to fit in with the original Hasbro Night Force as well in case I ever get those figures.
there are twelve Night Force figures total, and I will post a few each time over the next week or so.
At the time of this posting there is a second wave of Night Force figures planned for next year.

Ripcord
Ripcord is a certifiable bad ass, and I'm surprised he didn't get much play in the action figure world. When I was planning my Night Force team, Ripcord was one of my first choices.

Recoil
A really simple repaint, but I think the dark green is effective. I've always liked Recoil but he's never been a major part of my Joe team, he's slowly become more prolific now.

Gung-ho
I love the Mega Marine Gung-ho mold, but the colors were pretty atrocious. When adding him to my Night Force team, I knew this was the figure I wanted to use.

rock on! I love seeing MM GH in realistic battle-ready colors of all varieties, this one is rad. Recoil needs different colored lenses in his shades methinks but otherwise he looks cool.

Recoil stands out here, that's one crisp paintjob.
Gung Ho doesn't look much like Night Force IMO, but I like the colour scheme. He looks like some urban specialist. I'd buy him.

They look cool, man, the only thing I would do is maybe paint ripcord's parachute to make it a dark grey, and same with recoil's gloves and boots.

That's a good idea. He also has his mask, though it is not pictured here

why?

The original Night Force lineup Hasbro made color scheme palettes included dark brown like the gloves (Falcon/Repeater's pants) and olive-y green like the parachute (Crazylegs helmet and Muskrat's boots). All three of these will fit in nicely with the official figures just as they are.

As someone who really liked the Night Force figures as a kid (despite only having Shockwave and Lightfoot), these guys appeal to me more than your average sub-team customs. It doesn't hurt that you used one of my favorite figures and one that I've always liked but wasn't satisfied with.

I love everything about the Ripcord figure: his simplicity, his appropriate color-scheme, and the fact that the figure just looks tough as nails. I'm a big fan of the Ripcord figure in general, so it's great to see him used here. He's also a natural fit for a team based around stealth and infiltration (which I guess is an assumption on my part, but it seems to fit).

Recoil is one of those figures that I've always had an affection for even though I don't really like the way he looked. It's a nice mold, but his weird color scheme never sat right with me. I like what you did with him much, much more. The mold just looks better this way. Great work on him.

I never thought much about that Gung-Ho figure before, but your paint-job really brings out the detail in the sculpt. It's got a lot of nice elements to it, and I'll be curious to see how it fits in with the rest of the team.

Great work on these three. I'll be looking forward to the next installment.

I don't know, just something I would do, to be more apt for the cloak of night.

It works either way, just a thought if he wanted to make alternate figs.
