Since vehicles for the 8 inch line are not abundant, I rooted through kiddo's old Rescue Heroes collection (the obsession before GI Joe) and found a few that will work. I'm going to slowly work my way through them to modify and paint them.

First up is a Cobra Fang!

Picture I worked from:

The Rescue Heroes Quick Response Helicopter with guns added:

And the final product!

Kiddo's very happy. ;)

See if Hasbro would have done something like this with the 8 inch line before it died I think it would still be going strong.
Awesome work chika!

That is really cool! I like the rockets on the sides especially. The original prop seems really small and the extra bulk in the center of the rotor seems unneccessary, I would have cut it down a bit. But that's just a minor nitpick, and it's from the original vehicle you used. Overall this is a really cool idea, I wonder how many custom 8" vehicles are out there?

That is cool. Very nice to see a S6 vehicle custom.

Ok, that is cool. It probably would have retailed for $30-40. Very nice custom though. It looks pretty sharp.

Very cool! And great use of those freakishly over-sized S6 weapons :P

And the paintjob is flawless - you'd never know this was a custom.

I'd have bought that. And I don't collect S6 stuff.

Very nice and very well done! Hasbro needed to have done something like this.

Wow, thanks for the comments! :) I agree...Hasbro should have done vehicles...it probably would have given the line more life. ;) Someone said the paint job was flawless...thanks, but a picture won't reveal the imperfections...most of them due to my impatience to see it done! They are pretty minor, and for a perfectionist, I'm happy with it.

You should be happy with it; that's an awesome job, and a nice piece to have in your collection. I don't collect S6 or know much about them, but I can tell a great piece of work when I see one.

Thanks...it's really cool to post something up for this line and have people who don't collect it say they like it or even say your piece would have been something they'd have bought if it'd been produced. ;) I guess when that happens I feel like I've really done something right! :)

well, cross the fang off the list, now to find a rattler, and an aircraft carrier.

What?

Hehe, good stuff, mac, always a treat.

Mac- I love seeing your S6 customs.

You always make them to a really high standard, and this is no exception.

Great job
