I was mooching through a couple of books about Action Man figures and uniforms the other day, looking for some visual reference material for a couple of customs I am working on, when a few ideas struck me. I remembered having certain sets when I was a kid in the 1970s. Two accessories I had were the German sentry box, and the British sentry box that was only available through the Star Collectors scheme, ie, send in the stars printed on the packaging and get special items only available as mail-ins. I had a look round the net, but I could not find any really good pictures of them unassembled, so I started in on Microsoft Digital Image suite and put the templates together from scratch. Took quite a few hours, but was ultimately satisfying. I have tried to make them as close to the originals as possible. These are still WIPs, as they are the first attempts. I decided to print out the signs that came with the as well.

They are printed onto thin inkjet adhesive vinyl, sprayed with a matt varnish and then stuck onto art card. The barriers are movable and are attached by brass paper fasteners.

Thanks, but I have an idea for a set to go with the German box. Takes me right back to my childhood.

That looks pretty good. One of the better paper crafts I've seen for Joes.

Escape from Colditz!
Perhaps you could make the escaping officer using a Renegade Cobra Commander and RoC SHipwreck's head...

Well, now that you come to mention it, I already have plans for that. Odd you should mention the Renegade CC. That was what I had in mind. Plus a full dio for the sentry box.

I have another different coloured box planned as well as another two 'Action Man' figures to go with them.

I will be using a Last Crusade German motorbike rider as the Kommandant figure, with a hat from a BBi German officer.
