The Iron Dinobots...Grimlock.

I have absolutely no backstory to explain this amalgamation. It just is.

Yes, there are others in the works.

I love the Grimlock except for the tail.

See I like the tail. In fact I wish you added a Grimlock head or any robo-dino head for that matter.

The Tail bugs me as well... I'm OK with it being there... it's just the way it sticks out at 90 degrees from the body is a little odd.

Also maybe add small Teeth zig zags along the top and bottom of the mask...just for that hint of T-Rex teeth.

The tail looks a little out of place only because it's the only dinosaur element I can see. I think if you cut it at an angle so it wasn't sticking straight out from his body, it would look a little more "natural," and a few more dino-elements on the rest of him might make it seem more at home. The coloring is spot on though, and I really like where it's headed!

I can understand the arguments for and against the tail on tail. I think it's an unusual enough concept that anything might seem odd.

I didn't have anything that worked for the following one:

Iron Swoop:

I like both of these. Especially the Swoop.

Swoop I dig. Need to get him in a flying pose.

I'd swap out the IM head on Swoop for the techno-alien head from POC Firefly. It will still have that techy look of the Iron Man style and give it the classic Swoop look too.

The Firefly head is a great suggestion. For the tail on Grimlock, there is a Captain Power figure with a tail that would "hang" more. If you can give him some heavy hardware like a cannon, the tail could create a makeshift "tripod", it would stretch out to create the extra leg to steady him against some massive recoil. There was a Star Wars character in one of the novels that had that, but his whole head was a turbolaser battery.

Brilliant.
I dug through my fodder bins for hours and this was the best I could come up with. I wasn't particularly happy with it, but it had to do.

But...I did just pick up a POC Firefly at TRU last week... I think I will do a swap.

Afraid the tail thing isn't going to change. I like the idea of making it some sort of transforming accessory though. A tail has been integrated into the next two Iron Dinobot customs.

I should have the next one done today.

(Also forgot to add the weapon I made for Swoop as well. I'll have it in the updated pictures.)

I just don't like the Ironman heads. If you changed them up any, resculpted them they'd look better, but with all the variations of Ironman out there, to me, they just look like Ironman(tail or no tail).
