Hey all! Had this figure just about finished when Kamakura posted his. To give his custom its own props I varied the head and goggles and paint scheme. Since K did such a cool take on the original, I decided to merge the V.1 with the DTC. I've always thought of LL as tough-as-nails, so I figured the gotee might give him a bit of an edge. As always, let me know what you think.

91 views with no comment. Must be really good or sucks too much for feedback. Oh well, more on the drawing board from where this came from.

Damn, I thought I commented.
Nice work on him. the PTE head looks right at home. And the fact that he's play-ready makes him a winner in my book.

Nah, we just don't like you, Brad :P

Looks great all around, except the head doesn't look right to me - maybe he's just too "happy" looking. But he's fine with the goggles on. Have you thought of tinting them red? I dig the little splashes of green to break up the gray.

Really cool - I've got to make one myself!

Looks factory man, good job. Is that a PTE head? Didn't think I'd see one of those in a custom.

Dave, yes it's a PTE head. Same one I used on my Shawn of the Dead figure (way back when.)

I really like it a lot. It's a nice selection of parts and accessories thrown together to make a fun-looking figure.

I have to echo the red tinting on the goggles though. Some options may be a red sharpie or transparent red paint on the inside of the goggles.

Good work...but I'm not a fan of the head...I think it's mostly the blue eyes...but he looks a bit to happy go lucky, kinda chubby...Honestly he's making me think of Butters from Southpark.

Of all the thoughts a lowlight figure should inspire...Butters Scotch should not be one of them.

It might also be the Gotee...it's making me see a big stupid smile on his face..

i dunno...I like the idea of tinting the goggles red, Everything else looks pretty good.

Thanks for the input. I originally planned to use the head for a Jack Bauer custom down the line, and was just going to mod the DTC LL head to work on the neckball. The DTC head was way too big. The gotee does make him a little too smiley. May have to check out John's or Bek's boards to shop for a better head.

Thanks again,
Brad.

Ahem..
Is it wrong to post the same thing in 2 different threads within 24 hours? :shifty:

By the way, my point is your Low-Light would be even better with red lenses...

I love the fact you used PTE parts in this, but that paticular head is to happy. I would go with one that was more stoic. Great job with this though.

I used the dtc LL head for my LL custom and I think it looks good enough, he's posted here if you didn't see him. I don't like the pte head but the paint is good on your LL.
