I totally stumbled upon this and thought I'd share it with you guys.
I'm not sure how many of you watch anime or collect Japanese toys, so I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Series Bubblegum Crisis or A.D. Police. To make things short, both series are part of the same universe set in a world where a mega-corporation (Genome) has more or less taken over the world. The setting is actually VERY heavily inspired by Blade Runner and you can basically substitute the Genome Corporation with the Tyrell corporation and you get pretty much the same thing. And, just like Tyrell, Genome makes killer robots. Unlike Tyrell's though, Genome's Boomers actually look like robots, though they are a fusion of organic and synthetic components, like the Replicants. Boomers tend to run amok and kill people and it's up to the A.D. Police to take them down. When they aren't enough to handle the rogue Boomers, the Knight Sabers, an all female mercenary team that uses advanced powered armor come in and mop up.
So, a few years back, the Japanese company Yamato for some reason decided to make the entire Knight Sabers team as action figures with transforming motorcycle mechs. They claimed the line was 1/15, but in actuality, they're 1/18. Yes, this means there is a toyline of fully articulated girls in mech suits with transforming motorcycle robots. Yamato didn't end there though, they made a very hard to get mail away Boomer action figure. To get him, you had to buy the entire Knight Sabers team and mail away a proof of purchase from each figure to get your Boomer. As it turns out though, Yamato USA had pity on its American BGC fans and made the Boomer readily available on their website. I got mine off ebay, but I'm pretty sure you can still easily get them. So, enough yapping, how about some pics?

Here's the Boomer in all his blue glory.
Image
This particular Boomer is a model BU-55C Combat Boomer.

Despite how he looks, he is fully poseable. His joints are well hidden, but they don't have the greatest flexibility.
Image
Still, he can pose just fine, just don't expect him to be doing gymnastics or kneeling.

Now, if you thought he'd make a good replacement for a BAT, you'd be right! Here is Cobra Commander checking out their latest mechanical acquisitions.
Image
It seems a Boomer must've fallen off of one of Genome's delivery trucks. Though, Cobra Commander seems a bit more interested in T-ELOS.

Boomers might be good for smashing GI Joe, but they're even better for underground robot fighting tournaments.
Image

Just don't get too rowdy, or someone'll call the Shadow Guard on you and they'll confiscate all your winnings.
Image

Just be careful with your Boomers though, they tend to have a habit of going nuts and killing everything.

This guy got off a bit lucky.

A couple things to be aware of with this figure, he is pretty durable, but the joints were all stuck on mine. Sadly, I had to remove his neck, which was made of pvc and painted before the head was attached to it, so the thing was stuck and not going anywhere. I have replaced it and it's fully functional now, but it is something to be aware of. Thankfully, that was the only problem I had with mine. Also, he has no real accessories. I would've loved some extra hands or a spare head with its mouth open exposing its laser cannon, but nope, no dice. He does come with a pair of non-articulated A.D. Police figures, but they're a little too big to work with Joes.

That looks like it would be the right size for the SuperBAT from the Chicago sewer issue of the DDP comic.

Impressive.

Do you have other pics of the guy in white with the dark mask?

That guy could easily fill this BAT's role:

I wouldn't mind one for a base for Metallo.

That looks like a Terminator built by Apocalypse. I'm impressed! Certainly would work within the Joe Universe, as well.

A Boomer!
Wow, that takes me back. I loved Bubblegum Crisis.
Priss had a great rock band.
