The golden age of 4 inch action figures... Is over

I wouldn't say that. The Joe Collector's Club will still sell fully articulated figures at a proportionately reasonable price. If we're paying $10 for five points of articulation at the store, surely we'll pay $25 for 13 points (plus shipping).

And with the moneys Hasbro is seeing from that venture, don't be surprised to find a Marvel Collector's Club materializing at some point after they announce the cancellation of Universe at retail later this year (you guys should've bought more Iron Spiders and Iron Men).

And if you don't like paying the $30 (plus shipping) per figure that Club is going to charge, then you'll always have line after line of limited articulation movie figures featuring 5-7 each of the title characters in colorful repaints.

Yeah...pretty much what Lance said.

Anybody know of a place here in the states to get those Revoltech and Hobby Base joints that Hobby Link Japan sells? Not that I have anything against HLJ, I just prefer to order from some place closer.

Seems like what we may be needing in the future.

I heard these 5 POA figures are from deluxe sets like vehicle drivers and the figures that came with the parachutes and jet packs in the Cap and Avengers lines. Not the main line figures we're accustomed to. But it's all rumor and assumption until Toy Fair or actual packaged product hits shelves.

Sounds like wishful thinking...

I very much doubt the Iron Man 3 line will feature that many Deluxe toys and vehicles..... :-/
That is my thinking as well. I could see if these "deluxe" figures were all red and gold IM but there's a stealth suit, arctic suit, and Osbourne suit. It is possible but there are a lot of suit variations and paint app variation going into supposedly exclusive drivers/deluxe packages. After the Spider-Man line and its 5 POA, it would surprise me more if these were deluxe and not what the IM line has devolved into.

The Amazing Spider-Man line had the t-crotch, but the had ball jointed, head, shoulders, elbows and knees. They had more than 5 PoAs.

I think pluv is talking about the other Amazing Spider-man line, not the movie line.

No I was talking about the SpiderMan movie line but with hyperbole. sorry I should have made that more clear. It is possible these figures will have the exact same articulation as the Spider Man movie line. Those armor plates hide any possible articulation at the elbows, knees, wrists, and ankles.

Avengers Mechs (both styles) and small vehicles (IM jet + Cap tank) are at Marshalls for $12.99 each for those that still want them.

That's a good price, shame these stores don't exist here. Maybe I'll try Winners for em...

Target is starting to mark the single carded figures down. Store I went to today had them clearance priced 30% off, knocking them down to $6.99. Saw Widow, Fury, movie Hawkeye.

So I'm looking at the 5POA Iron Man toys, the ones repainted from older 5POA vehicle drivers that don't have removable limbs.
And there's this tan one with removable wrist attachments.

Were these wrist pieces used on any prior figures?
