I figure, after posting all those rogues, it's time for The Batman to strike! :-D

He's mainly a Crimson Guard body with a TON of modded and kit bashed parts. Random Batman head from the fodder bin, Star Wars goggles and utility belt from my accessories Graveyard. The symbol is based on the design from the 1940s Batman serial, and was hand cut from thin plastic and carefully painted.

For a long time, I debated whether or not my Batman should have a symbol (he's dressed as a giant bat... kinda redundant), but I started piecing this guy together and it looked cool with it. Since so much of the Batsuit is military/utility, I feel it brings a little bit of a fantastical element, without being too costume-y.

A very nice period piece kind of Bats - kind like Batman Noir, or one you might see in one of the alternate universe comics. I dig the stylized look. Seems like he could hang out with your Rocketeer and fit in very nicely.

Gotham by Gaslight, one of the Elsworld graphic novels.

Very distinct and cool design.

I'm digging the retro vibe much more than I would've expected.

Thank you gents for all your kind words :-D

The retro vibe is definitely intentional-- this Batman is made to fit in with my Gotham's Most Wanted line of rogues, set in 1939, so this Bats and The Rocketeer would be contemporaries... that's pretty much the idea with my stuff; all occurring in the same universe.

Mike Mignola (artist on Gotham By Gaslight, creator of Hellboy) is a HUGE influence on me, as you can tell by my love of goggles and glasses, just like my hero. :batdan:

I was going to say very Mignola, and that's a good thing.

Any plans for boy/girl wonders?

Bought fodder for a Robin for my Batman universe, but I haven't pulled the trigger just yet. Every once in a while, I'll consider it, then work on something else. Never was much of a fan of Robin, but I feel it's inevitable.

A Carrie Kelly Robin is much more likely. Just picked up the fodder for DKR Batman, and I'm already eye-ing fodder for his sidekick.

Finished a ton of stuff over the past few days, expect pics soon...

Finishing a bunch of new pieces for my site and Custom Con 34, but until I can post those, I have a certain scarlet speedster who's a member of a group of heroes trying to recruit new members, and they have their eye on The Batman...

Kinda improvised The Flash's design, combining my favorite elements of all incarnations and adding my own spin, namely giving him a sort of WWI doughboy costume...

Head is Ultimate Cap, 25th Crimson Guard, Destro legs, and the helmet from an Infinite Heroes Golden Age Flash (pretty much the only usable part from that lame fig)

Trying not to swear as that is just a flipping awesome take on Flash. Is he Jay, Barry, or Wally?

I love the 3D flash emblem. That is a great touch and really makes him look more retro.

Thank you guys so much!

IW, never really thought about it, but he's Barry, despite having Jay's helmet. He's probably the only incarnation of The Flash I'll have in my WWII 'verse, 'cuz I'm still happy with the design and love the way he looks with Bats.

Pluv, thank you! The bolt is made from hand-cut toothpicks, glued to a circular bit of plastic for the background. I'm definitely careful about my symbols, and do like vintage-looking designs that are era-appropriate... Some upcoming pieces look suitably alien... :shifty:

The emblem is what makes him. Great concept I've never seen on a Flash.

Honestly dying to see you tackle Green Lantern.
