  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

So here is how I see this version of Dr. Venom occurring. After he is blown up by Kwinn's grenade, he isn't really buried. Cobra Commander secretly keeps him alive in a classified project, even Dr. Mindbender is kept out of the loop. His body is kept alive in a stasis chamber created by Destro and his mind is kept viable by leaving him plugged into the Brainwave Scanner. Eventually, Cobra gains the technology to build him a new robotic body based on B.A.T. technology. When he awakens as a cyborg, he is ready to jump right back into his role for Cobra.

The head is the ROC Cobra Commander with the clear mask ripped off and a few mods made to cover the hole and indentations left after the mask came off.

I like it a lot. I know Dr Venom has quite the following, but visually he's just a regular dude in a lab coat. I don't need my mad scientists to be all out Minderbenders, but a bit more than realistic scientist would be nice. This is definitely a direction I appreciate for Dr Venom, and a great use of a nice figure who just doesn't represent Cobra Commander.

I agree with everything Scramble says. Plus, nice backstory integration -

Also, get this into the gallery - I want to nominate it for "best use of a bad part" for using that head!

I'm glad he is being well recieved. Truth is, I probably never would have thought of this without the suggestions I asked for on my Overkill WIP. Its amazing what some brainstorming Joe Custom guys come up with. I think it was ben1138 that first suggested Dr. Venom being brought back inide a cyborg body. Thanks man.
