They're "tactical" boots, and they look fine to me.

I like the footwear. Its a nice change from combat boots and represents the modern designs and materials available these days.

I'm all about some combat boots and bloused BDU pants, myself. In fact, I wear them everyday. But regardless, he looks great. I like the way you modified that Serpa holster to fit his leg. It looks much more realistic than the way it stuck out so far on the 25th version.

Thanks... yeah, I'd rather see something like this as an "ultimate" version, rather than what we're getting. You know... already over-used parts and all.

I love what you did here. This is exactly how I picture a modern Firefly. I had been planning on swapping the lower legs on the 3-pack Firefly with the ones you chose, but you went waaaay beyond that. The modifications to the vest are really impressive, and the whole figure looks tough as nails. Great work on a character (and character design) that's hard to improve upon.

Well, I had a pair of the DG Shipwreck lower legs set aside, but after looking more closely at yours, that's not what you used, is it? I can't place the ones you used: are they hand-sculpted? If so, they're really impressive work.

I thought you might be puzzeled about those. They kinda look like Renegades Duke lowers (DG Shipwrecks too ?), but they're in fact 3-pack SS lowers with sculpted calf pockets and cuffs.

Nice work, Obi! The way I see it, Firefly isn't military anyway, so he can choose whatever pants and boots combo he wants. This isn't to slam anyone's opinion of what they think he should look like or wear, it is just my though on the matter... And I like this custom the way it is.
