So, why don't the various members of the board combine their extraordinary skills and show up next year with all of these as customs?

Make it a full on joecustoms sponsored year long custom event...

Friends wanted to know what I think can be done about the failing dying line of GI joe 3 3/4 toys. this is what I said: I don't know much. start with trying cheaper plastics (like Hemp or non petro based plastics) then revive the joe line by doing commercials on nic and the hub. further the want for joes by bringing back the points system collect points to get special troopers or vehicles (plus shipping) then I had a wonderful idea, a very basic vehicle for land sea and air, and...add on packs to customize the vehicles (interactive right?) add a microchip or USB interface to the vehicles (something that can come off for play) and what you do to the vehicle (upgrades) shows on line and a printable version of what the vehicle can do and a custom name for the vehicle) later down the line do the same for troopers. bring back the glory days of the Flagg terror drome and defiant (still using cheaper plastics) trash the retaliation lines 5 points and crappy paint bring back the POC style (re4 I hope is like this) and lastly do an online poll of older (using sites like yojoe.com) of what vehicle to bring back. drop the bs (foam swords nerf guns etc) and make MORE MOVIES and bring back the Renegades cartoon. oh and they can hire me.....

also added this later..... keep it 3 3/4 do as I advised, shelve the wanabe 12's keep the nice ones, bring back "the Renegades" more movies (Faster, eh?) dump star wars 3 3/4 due those in 6" (the Black Line, very collector) bring in the vehicles that were shown. bring the figures that were shown, a points collection system with a figure and a vehicle to "Buy" with the points (super, etc) squeeze the troops into a game, on the topic of an upgradable vehicle, add them to the game as well (upgrades you buy for the toy goes into your online file....) and make a stand alone game like Star wars MMORPG, and join as Cobra, or GI joe, same with the vehicles, give two sets of decals (nothing outlandish, basic set with joe or cobra insignia) leaving room for companies like Cobrastickers.com. Make a dedicated site for Joes, updating the current one, and making it so people like me who live in the boondocks, have access to the new additions KICK WALMART TO THE CURB, along with ROSS and TJ-Max, dedicate Target and Toys r us as the ONLY provider, shipping would be cheaper, on that note ship more then one figure at a time (ugh how many snow destros did they produce?) make a couple more mechs (mine are SO lonely.) dump the iron man avengers line until the next movie, work with companies like Elite Forces and WPK, produce a "Current Vehicle Line" with WPK and Sci-Fi line through GI joe (Hiss, and the other exotics) like I said Hasbro, give me a call, I could so do this for a living.

Cartoon Outline

Pitch

"Join the intrepid Colton family and their brave friends as they travel the world having adventures and trying to prevent the Evil Poachers from plundering Earth's treasures!"

Overview

Each season would be 13 episodes and air on Saturday mornings.

Episodes would focus on the Colton family members (Joe, Jane, Joe Jr.) and 1 or more supporting Adventure Team member in an exotic locale.

Characters/vehicles/accessories from the toyline would be heavily featured in each episode but would not be shoehorned in just to make kids want the toys, although figures of the Evil Poachers' Plunderer henchmen- appearing in just about every episode of the series- would not be made available until the final year of toy releases.

An episode near the end of the first season in which the Adventure Team finds an entombed UFO underneath a lost temple in Indonesia proves to be very popular with kids and a more science fiction/paranormal slant begins to enter the series.

The second season sees a Halloween special in which Doctor Mindbender unleashes a zombie epidemic in a rural Pennsylvania region in an homage to the film "Night Of The Living Dead".

In the third season, more paranormal stories begin to pop up (7 of the 13 episodes of the season), leading up to the arrival of an Emissary from the Evil Lunatrix Empire, who would be the major antagonists of the fourth and final season. Also of note, this season reveals the Evil Poachers' "mysterious supreme leader", previously seen only in shadow to be Miles Mayhem.

The first 9 episodes of the fourth and final season would be serial with each episode leading into the next, detailing the struggle between the Adventure Team and the Lunatrix Empire. The Evil Poachers would also feature in these stories but in a reduced capacity and ultimately teaming up with the Adventure Team in the ninth episode to push the Lunatrix Empire off of Earth. The last 4 episodes would return to the show's normal adventure stories.

Violence would be minimum with no fatalities and only minimal injuries. Any serious injuries would be treated in a realistic manner and have consequences (i.e. a character that breaks his or her leg will be in a cast and on crutches in a few subsequent episodes).

In episodes dealing with the natural world, real facts would be woven into the story in a non ham-fisted way so as to educate while entertaining the audience.

Vague references to the "Joe Vs. Cobra" storyline would be made during the various seasons (mostly as characters refer to their "past"/"other" job), including some more overt scenes of Joe and Cobra vehicles/characters in a montage when Earth forces are shown resisting the Lunatrix in the final season.

I really think Hasbro should bring Adventure Team to the 4" line, and use its less militaristic roots as a way to license various properties and likenesses in a "unified" line of sorts.

I mean who wouldn't want Adventure Team Mythbusters and Adventure Team Bruce Lee alongside their GI Joes?

Still loving this idea. I'd be all over these figures & that cartoon.
