Retaliation Clutch Trading Card

I recently got into collecting the Retaliation movie trading cards. I got home tonight and unopened a few packs I picked up over the weekend. After getting them sorted out, I was happy that I found the four remaining cards and was able to finally complete an entire set.

An unexpected bonus was on the movie poster which is comprised of cards 40-48. One side has the poster and the reverse has pics of the following characters:

Firefly
Roadblock
Snake Eyes
Storm Shadow
Lady Jaye
Mouse
Cobra Commander
Jinx and...
Clutch

I don't remember catching him in the film but this was a really nice surprise since I am a Clutch fan.

Check it out. Anybody catch him in the film?

Yeah, wasn't he the guy that Duke talked to, before the explosions.

Something about everybody back safely and the package secured? He turns and heads to our left?

...Clutch looks like the way-too-old-to-be-there guy at the paintball range who starts having a flashback to a war he wasn't a part of and ruins some kid's 9th birthday party.

Not to put too fine of a point on it.

far as I'm concerned, Clutch was not in the movie.

Clutch, Grunt and Falcon were all in the movie, and all were cut. Clutch is mentioned by name in the beginning of the movie, but is never shown.

there was no point in putting them in the movie only to kill them off with zero fanfare

so in my mind they weren't

Agreed. They all had more to do, IE Mouse, but got the cutting axe.

Say, didn't Clutch, Steeler and Grunt get written off in a GIJOE cartoon episode?
Their alternate universe counterparts were skeletons.

That was Worlds Without End. They stayed in the alternate universe to help build the Joe team back up.

Funny thing was that one of them somehow made it back to a later episode of the Sunbow run.
