This was initially for the current Group Project - Small Playsets. This entry isn't eligible because it is towable, so I decided to show it here. I call it the Mobile Radar System, or MRS, and I made a desert Breaker to go with it. It fits nicely with my other ''Project Retro'' figures and vehicles that I have done in the last few months. Breaker himself is loosely based of the art from the 1982 Pencil-by-Numbers book: http://www.yojoe.com/archive/nottoys/82 ... bers.shtml. I skipped the green pants and went all brown to match my other desert O13.

Enjoy!

MRS is AWESOME. But I made the sad face when it wasn't an ARAH Breaker.

The MRS is really, really cool. I've been wanting to do something similar after seeing pluv use the MMS base for a portable radar system a few years ago, but your design is far better than what I'd been sitting on. It fits perfectly with the other pieces from that era, and it looks great behind that custom VAMP Mk. II. Breaker is nice, too: the color scheme works well and the paint is very clean. Excellent work!

Very nice little addition to the Joe motor pool. Looks pretty flawless to me. I'll admit to not liking the brown on Breaker until I clicked on your link for the source material. Seeing the inspiration does make me like it more.

First, what dish is that from? It looks familiar.

Second, if this is a radar unit, I think there needs to be some type of viewing screen.

The screen is in the VAMP :shifty:

Just kidding ;-) I thought I would plug the wire and laptop that came with RoC Breaker to give my Breaker a portable computer console.

For the radar, it comes from this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mega-Bloks-Bl ... t/17217256

The radar unit totally blends with the '82 feel. I thought it was from something early in the line I couldn't place. The piece is beautiful. I'd like to see a second one painted to match the vamp, too.

That is gorgeous, and looks like a production good. Brilliant, and if it had come with breaker, and been around 10 bucks, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

It, however doesn't fit with the rest of your desert line, so I hope that you at least have one unaltered vamp to tow it with. ;-)

Wow, this is like seeing an unproduced item. Perfectly fits in with the rest of those classic "towables".

Thanks guys.

I like the idea of a desert colored one. For some reason, It hadn't occured to me, but I think I have another junker MMS and most of the necessary parts I need. Stay tuned.

I do have a regular green VAMP :-) I was lazy when I took the pics and din't want to dig through my vehicles. I grabbed the first VAMP I could find. I plan on digging it out on the weekend and snapping some more pics. I want to see what they look like together too.

Pluv, I hadn't seen your before. I just checked it out and it's great. I like how I used the same name as you without realising it.

This is great and a nice compliment for realism. The Joes need a good "point of origin" type of radar like the Q-36 for the MMS or even for C-RAM applications.
