Edit: I added details on the figures in my first post.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This will sound strange, but I can't believe that this thing is finally posted. Seems like I started on this project a lifetime ago.

In my brainstorming, I thought about adding more guns and even looked at the 6-wheeler vehicle, but I really wanted the feel of the Tyco train rather than the Hasbro prototype.

I did not mention that it is RC (battery) controlled and has working head and tail lights. I received the engine just a week a ago and I haven't had time to pop in batteries and make it run. Now that the paint is finished, I'll take the time to build a track and play with it a little. I'm hoping to find some space in the basement and build a proper diorama for it. So the project continues...

This makes me want one of these so bad. Definitely a project I will store in my head for when my son is old enough to participate with the build. Great job.

Well I'm not going to bother trying to make any vehicles for the JCA's this year.

The figures are a great touch, very cool additions to the piece.

That's a great idea. Also, since Playmobil trains run on batteries and the track doesn't have current running through it, the trains are great for a garden or for playing in the yard.

I do not think that I want to know how much money you have sunk in this project. Went to look for the engine and it appears to be in the $200 range all by itself.

I haven't figured out the number. I purchased everything separately over 5 years, so the impact on the budget was softened somewhat. Also, I bought everything at retail when it was in stores, so I didn't pay any eBay mark-up. That is one benefit of a long term project. ;-)

You have got be "LASER BLAST" kidding me. That is outrageously awesome.
It's going to be an uphill climb for ANYONE to top this as vehicle custom of the year. It's that great.

And it needs to be on the jc table at the next con. So bring it!

I had that original train as a kid. My dad glued the playmat that came with it to a piece of plywood and we nailed the tracks into place.. We played that train to death and the mat lasted on into my teens...

Now to see a train in Joe size really takes me back.. This is assume on so many scales.

Why oh why didn't you do this for the Declassified contest? Your work on this is astounding. Like 100% flawless. Well done indeed.
