Thanks guys. I have a spare radio from PoC Hawk, I think I'll use it to replace the grenades on Lifeline's vest.

Day 4 is up. I thought I would celebrate the USA's birthday with GI Joe himself. Happy 4th of July everyone.

Wow, that GI Joe is terrific.
I'd buy a few if it were available at retail.
Well done indeed!

That GI Joe is FOW.

I daresay I'd grab as many as I could at retail so I could head swap an entire Green Beret Alpha Team.

Thanks guys.

Day 5 is up. Today's customs are simpler, so I'm posting 2.

Enjoy!

Ace's legs (Outback?) are too skinny for the upper half. GIJCC's Iceberg would be in good company with him.

CC looks good though, you finished ehst the DG figure started. He needs a missile launcher though. And a plethora of silver guns. The pic of him with those Heat Vipers give me hope you're working on the BC 94 Viper and 93 Eel...

Lol, thanks man. Actually, I think the camera angle is making the legs look skinnier than they really are, but I agree, he is a bit top heavy.

Stay tuned for more Vipers later this month :-D

Cobra Commander looks great!

Ace, on the other hand, I'm not feeling so much. Those new legs don't really feel very pilot-y. The figure's original legs (or at least uppers) were more accurate, given the original '93 Ace sported those pilot's chaps.
I do seriously dig the use of Blowtorch's head and Ripcord's helmet.

Thanks guys. I may revisit Ace's legs, I'll see if the original SRO uppers works with the Outback lowers.

Day 6 is up.

Enjoy!

I'm really enjoying seeing your take on the BC characters.

I'm digging that Mace figure especially.

Thanks DJ.

Day 7 is up with a couple of snow Troops. I'm not convinced that this is my best Snow Storm. I like the legs and the body. I think the head or helmet needs to be changed or modified. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free.

As a casual observer here on Joe Customs I will say this has me checking in far more frequently than I have been.

I would totally buy these by the case if released at retail

BTW I have had just about the same parts thrown together for a Col. Courage in my wips bin. This makes me want to go finish him! If only I could paint!

What types of paint Ayer you using? It looks like folk art, somewhat matte or pastel. Do you get paint chipping?
