What types of paint Ayer you using? It looks like folk art, somewhat matte or pastel. Do you get paint chipping?

I use Tamiya almost exclusively, with a bit of Americana for accents colours. I don't have access to Citadel paints here. With Tamiya, I don't have much chipping as long as I do a bit of cutting around the arculations. I don't always bother with that since I don't pose and repose my customs that often.

stop it now, OB, I've been loving every single one of these Battle Corps updates but today you've committed a cardinal sin of nearly redeeming the "LASER BLAST" ol' Heli-Viper to actually make it cool. Seeing an awesome modern versions of that misfit trooper pilot feels a :sackpunch:

WOW! That Heli-Viper is pure win! I would not mind seeing that stolen by the Club or Hasbro and released. Oh heck I would love to get all of these figures released. Cannot wait to see more!

You are truly a master. Hasbro should have you do a FSS.

Beautiful parts combo and paint aps on HV. May have to borrow your recipe. Top notch on all so far, but HV is my favorite.

Dude, you are seriously knocking it out of the park every single day.

These look exactly how I'd expect the ME versions to. They are that good...

I like where you tried to go, but feel like the Dusty head is too small. Plus it's hard to see Flint wearing a helmet since the original BC had a that weird beret thing.

All in all, amazing work so far. Need to take the time to post about each figure.

I agree with Matthew. The Battle Corps version had him wearing the beret (colored black in the card art) combined with the desert havelock hanging out the back and sides.

Maybe if you cutout the Dusty havelock and somehow attach it to a beret?

Thanks guys. I definitely think I'll need to rework the headgear. I'll see what I can do with a Marauder beret and some soft goods maybe.

This is really awesome stuff. I would gladly buy all of these if they were retail versions. The only two critiques I had have already been mentioned - Snowstorm's head and Flint's hat. I don't know how you might fix the latter but for Snowstorm, I wonder how the ARAH head might work on that body.

Anyway, I'm excited to see what else you have in store. Everything looks really clean and there are some very stealable recipes too. My faves are Mace, Heli-Viper, and Col. Courage.

Thanks. I'll look into ARAH Snow Storm's head, it might be what I'm looking for to fix him.

Day 12 is up. Today is a homage to the 12'' line.

Enjoy!

love that you went with the RoC HD for this Battle Corps era 12" hell yes. British HD is how I will forever see the character now and its awesome to see him used this way.

and I never ever see enough customs of Grunt so this is an excellent surprise! plus now I want to see you make the 1991 Grunt with most this same recipe

both customs look production!
