I'm really hitting days when a lot of my projects finally come to fruition, aren't I?

Had this Iron Grenadier finished for a good while, actually... just forgot to photograph him and show him off.
Basically adding painted details to the 30th Anniversary Iron Grenadier after donating his gear to Repeater and Night Adder.

I hate hate hate hate the 25th Anniversary Cobra Trooper torso. It's a horrible piece. Just horrible. Ultimately I had to cover it all up with accessories to use it as something. Thanks to Raginspoon's casts, Medi-Viper ended up being a nice thing to make from it.

Head: Desert Hazmat Cobra Trooper
Torso, arms: Winter Ops Scrap-Iron
Legs: Ninja Battles Storm Shadow
Helmet, chest armor, belt: Raginspoon casts

While searching for potential bases for my Big Brawler customs, I suddenly realized how perfect Joe Colton's body was as a base for Outback. I also had a Thor head that worked great for the character. Just had to add a few touches here and there to make the body look more like Outback. Kinda wish I had the skills to sculpt a headband and add SURVIVAL to his shirt, just to complete the oldschool-ness.

I wanted a nice bulky base for Gung-Ho (having previously used Bench-Press's body that then went to be Big Brawler's body), but at the same time one that didn't match Roadblock figures in height. Crossbones from the Captain America line, as it turns out, worked very nicely in that regard. He's a bit broad-shouldered but otherwise it works very nicely.
I get a nice GI Joe vs Cobra vibe from this figure... Although I wish I'd been able to find the Comic Pack repaint that had a more varied deco, but it fetches higher prices. Did luck out and get this loose single-carded one for less than 9$ shipped, though.

Thanks for looking!

That Outback is really impressive. I always kinda liked the Collectors' Club/DTC Outback. It was different from the original, but at the same time it still worked really well. That's a great update for it.

The mediviper has a few challenges, the gear just doesn't seem to work with the 25th style body.

The paint on the Outback head is flawless and the custom looks production because of it. If someone told me that this was a new release, I would believe it.

Thanks everyone!

I'd have posted two more if it weren't for issues with matching skin tone colors.

Uh, wasn't really going for an update to that one. I was going for the v1. The long hair is just a coincidence from Thor's head working so well.

How so?

IMO, the armor plate sits too high and only covers the top of the chest, accentuating the "love handles" on the lower part of the chest. Maybe if It were to sit a little further forward, it would cover the gap better. But as it, it draws more attention to the deficiency of the figure, rather than drawing attention away from it.

I never saw it as "love handles"... Really the part I hate is the neck. And since the arms are incredibly plain, I had to think of something plain to do with him. Right now IMO, he looks decked out in grey scrubs, which works for me.

And thanks Zeph!

Anyone know of any large bald heads available out there? I can't help but feel Gung-Ho might look better with a larger head.

Bit of painting and sculpting and bnb Kane makes a good gung ho. That's what I'm using for mine.

That's a pretty good idea, sadly he doesn't go for cheap...

Scored a UFC Bas Rutten on the relative cheap, though. Similar construction so hopefully the head will work well.
(I feel Randy Couture could've worked too but I didn't see any for cheap either)
