The next big in-game event from DeNA and HASBRO’s mobile game G.I. JOE: BATTLEGROUND is about to begin! Starting today, Thursday, July 25 at 5 pm PT through Thursday, Aug. 1 at 7 pm PT, players can take part in the new Global Warfare event.

About the Global Warfare Event

All over the world, skirmishes are erupting between G.I. JOE and COBRA. COBRA forces are relentlessly causing havoc and it's up to the JOES to put a stop to COBRA’s campaign of terror. Take-up a side and fight with your JOE Squad against other players' COBRA Squads or if you're feeling a little nasty, use your COBRA Squad to battle against other players' JOE Squads. Whichever side you choose, you will be fighting for supremacy against other players from around the world. Fight for freedom or fight for oppression, but make sure you fight hard for the top reward of COBRA Commander with his high-powered battle armor!

The game is slow and claims "poor signal" lately for me. I tried doing the Destro event but gave up. One full mission takes me nearly 2 hours. It stutters, freezes, and relaunches. Just when I was getting into the game.

I've been enjoying this game a lot.

My only issue is that I can't seem to get past 19 consecutive wins in PvP mode. I've gotten to 19 several times, but it's like the server automatically seeks out a total ringer if I'm about to crack 20.

Put me with Firefox, cannot get past 9 wins. I just got to 9 and it gave me a choice of three opponents and they were level 84, 89, and 100. I am only level 64! Needless to say I got slaughtered.

I can get to 17, and then the next opponent hits me with five mega-attacks before My team can even react.

That's pretty much how they've gotten me every time fight 20 starts.

I've gotten to 12, but I usually don't get past 9 any more. When I get to that point, my team, which usually knows how to spam special attacks, somehow completely forgets to do any of them.

Overall I'm still enjoying the event and the game. It's amazing how similar this is to Transformers Legends in concept, but the execution is worlds better. There's almost always something to do, and the events actually have variety so far. On the TF game, it's the same freaking event week after week with different cards, battles are boring, PVP is a total game of luck in regards to who gets to spam special attacks, and there are times when I had nothing to do even during the events. I guess that's why I dumped TFL several weeks ago.

I got to 21 a couple of times but now I can't seem to get past 15 without an All Out Attack.

I agree completely. I got bored with Transformers but still kept playing even though the events were all exactly the same. The GIJoe events are actually different which gives the game something more. It still isn't a thrilling game, but it interesting.

So are we going to start an ally list here?

I still don't see what the point of allies is.
