Thanks for taking the time to view and comments on these. Between the GI Joe Train and Battle Corps Month, it has been a busy customs-filled summer, so a short break will be good. But I'm still working on a few commissions and the Rogue States GP as well as a few other things. I would like to finish the WIPs that were posted yesterday and also tweak a few of the BC figures (Big Bear's collar, Flint's beret, a few other details) before I post them to the gallery here. I also like Raptor's idea of another themed month down the road. Ideas and projects are plentiful, just need to make sure I'm not spending all my time in the basement
DanoftheDead, right now, all these are displayed in my collection. I have had several offers, so if I decide to sell them, there are interested parties. For now, I think I'll be selfish and enjoy them for a while. After all, my collection is unique with these in it.
As far as tips to see this project through, it's all in the planning. Making the customs is one thing, but first comes the research to find good reference material, deciding which figures inspire me, shooting, cropping and uploading pics, writing blog entries and deciding which customs to showcase and in which order, all takes time and a lot of planning. I have a 15-page Word document with everything I wrote during the project and an Excel spreadsheet with dates was used as an ''Order of Battle.'' All in all, it actually went really smoothly and doing it again sometime down the road does not seem daunting to me, it sounds fun. Of course, I'm a little crazy that way
