So I got around to capping off a few customs this week... Also started a few too.

A few months ago, a few of us were discussing how we'd make a Kwinn custom in ARAH parts. Some if the ideas here came from that. I don't know why I never did this before...



Next, a few of my 007 redos. I just was never happy with the originals.

First, Oddjob, who only got new legs.


Then there's Jaws, who only has the feet of the original.

And from Thunderball, I give you Domino, who was originally really quite "LASER BLAST".


Next, an idea I had for a Rise of Cobra Dr Mindbender.


"If we survive this I'll show you everything..."

There has been some question over leaving the knee pads as is. I think they are funky fun and can work in a lab environment. What do you think?

Next is a guy I did for my Sputnik universe, former KGB Colonel Dimitry Andropov. Clearly borrowing a lot from the Club's design.



So... That's the first batch, and I'd really love your thoughts...

Kwinn is retro cool. Superb head choice I would never have thought to use.

Jaws and Domino are perfect but odd job does seem buff enough. I thought he was Dr. Watson, not Oddjob.

I'm not a fan of the knee pads. I just don't think they work in the RoC scene you're going for.

JAWS! Heck yeah. Looks great. I like the KGB guy as well.

I'm not sold on the lower legs of Mindbender.

I think he's need some civilian shoes and not combat boots for lab work.

Yea, I guess I need to do some different legs on Mindbender. He was really dingy in the movie, so I wouldn't use the Rex legs. Plus those are too valuable to me in other uses. And I have none left. So back to the drawing board...

Kwinn is sweet, Jaws is perfect. I get what pluv is saying on Oddjob - a bit like a kick-ass version of Charlie Chaplan almost. But still better than anything I could think of to suggest otherwise.

Mindbender is a really interesting character. More interesting than the throw-away dude in ROC deserves, but I understand. I think I agree with the kneepads not fitting, though for me the color is the biggest issue. If all else fails, paint them something drab.

What about Jungle Duke or Renegades Tunnel Rat legs as alternative options?

Great take on ROC Mindbender. The knee pads are a bit bright, but design-wise everything clicks.

I think the legs (and head) have always made Kwinn hard to do. Did you mod the Dusty legs? Hard to tell from the picture. Definitely has my creative juices flowing. The head is an awesome choice too. This is a custom that I'd love to see cast.

Well that's just about the nicest thing a person could say...

I did mod the thighs a little. Basically just sanded the sides of the knee joint on the sides to make it look like the top of the knee joint goes all the way around, the way shorts do. I can post a picture showing what I mean if that doesn't make sense.
