Anyone know where I can find very small hinges or joints? I mean VERY small, tiny enough to add pop-out weapons to our 1:18 figures. I've found that Neo Shifter minifigs have appropriately sized ball joints, but they are pretty hard to come by.

Thoughts?

Dollhouse hinges too big for what you want?

Nah, metal's no good when working with plastic figs and vehicles.

You're looking for the wide world of Options Kits.

Star Wars medical droids' arms are good for swiping small hinges from. Hot Wheels/Matchbox crane hooks work pretty well too. Lego is fantastic for this kind of stuff too.

I know a lot of people use the joints AV pointed out, but personally I just swipe them from other figures. Minimates, Megablocks Marvel or Halo, Stikfas, etc.

I've actually used a dollhouse hinge to make a folding stock on a Spytroops era G36. Can't find a pick right now though.

I like tiny doll house hinges here is an example of one I cut down to make even smaller.
I use joints from female new sculpt figures

Lots of good ideas here, and I think the Star Wars Droid angle might be a profitable one. I think there have been some R2D2 figures with opening doors...

If you can cut the pieces to overlap, you can drill a 1mm hole through the overlapping pieces and make your own hinge with metal dowling.

Greyryder, I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at here...

That's the sliding and folding mechanism for the powered scabbard on Greyryder V2's backpack. I was just refuting AV's comment about metal not working on figures and vehicles.

Nevermind, I found it. Wow... I hope I can live up to that level (and then maybe actually get around to posting my work).

Does anyone have any recommendations for tiny hinge swivel joints?

I'm using Jada HALO 4 mini figures now but i'd love an easier to obtain source.

I don't know if this is easier to obtain, but I recently used a transformer part (not generation 1).
