IM3 set still showing in stock at Amazon.
They have it limited to only 2 per customer, so I can't tell how many they have left.

Hasbro needs to make an articulated 1:18 Iron Patriot now that they apologized with the articulated Mk42.

While I agree with your sentiment, I prefer Osborne as the Patriot. So sinister.

The IM3 toyline was such "LASER BLAST" that Rhodey Patriot needs a GOOD figure now to be the third (and final?) acceptable movie figure.

Again, I agree, but I want that beast Iron Man suit that ran into the shipyard smashing all the containers.

Yes. Him. He needs to be made first.

Just received my MU Black and White Iron Man and the Amazon IM3 Hall of Armor sets. I haven't opened them yet but here are some initial impressions.

B&W Iron Man is mostly black with a little gray/gunmetal and some slight hints of white. Appears to be mostly MU Bleeding Edge armor with what looks like a new upper torso. The ARC reactor in the chest looks different from the Bleeding Edge figure as it has some ridges around the outer edge like the Mark I movie chest reactor. It'll go nicely in the Hall of Armor display. EDIT: It's listed on the back of the card as the "Zero Gravity Space Armor" but on the front as just "Iron Man".

IM3 Hall of Armor sets look just like the pictures online. The box is a lot bigger than I expected but the figures themselves look nice. The Mark 42 looks to have a torso joint which I wasn't expecting for some reason. And the 2 sets I got look pretty clean as far as paint applications. Definitely a Joe body under Starks head. I'll know more when I crack them open tonight.

He's in the Assemblers line...and since that line is still selling through somewhat, we might actually see him stateside.

Here are the 2 new figures in the Amazon exclusive Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor set - the long awaited Tony Stark and a fully articulated Mark 42.

Tony Stark is made from modern era Joe parts with a new head. Renegades Law torso and upper arms, ROC single pack Hawk lower arms and ROC Ninja Mercenary (long coat) Storm Shadow legs. As you can see in the picture, Stark is a bit shorter than the Mark 42 armor which makes sense in a real world way. He'd definitely be taller in the armor.

The Mark 42 is about the same size as the Mark VI. The 42 is a bit sleaker as seen in the movie and the brand new sculpt looks great.

The Mark 42 has all the articulation we got in the IM2 line with a few points restricted. The shoulder pads keep the arms from moving out to the side and the neck joint, like almost all of the IM2 armors, can't look up. But the 42 has the new rocker ankles that we've seen on Renegades Scarlett.

The paint on both these figures is really good with little to no slop. The gold on the Mark 42 isn't quite as bright as I remember it from the movie but it looks good. The ARC Reactor on Tony's chest is nice and clean on both the figures I got.

Overall I'm extremely happy to finally have Tony Stark in my 4" collection and getting a fully articulated Mark 42 for the Hall of Armor makes the $40 this set costs a little easier to justify. The rest of the set (Mark I,II,III,VI) are the same figures we got in the IM2 line with some slightly different paint applications, most notably the enhanced glow of the chest reactors and palm repulsors. You'll want this set for the Stark and Mark 42 and if you don't have the other figures then you'll have a nice set. A great buy especially with Amazon Prime shipping.

So, no Avengers-style leg articulation at the hip, just the crappy IM2/older Marvel movie line ball joint?

Actually I was playing with the Mark 42 a bit more after posting this and realized he does have the Avengers style hip joint, with the peg going through the crotch rather than straight up into the torso. So he can move his legs forward and back as well as out to the side. Everything else (except the mentioned rocker ankles) is the same.

What about a head swap of Tony's mug onto an IM suit?
