Tony Stark is made from modern era Joe parts with a new head. Renegades Law torso and upper arms, ROC single pack Hawk lower arms and ROC Ninja Mercenary (long coat) Storm Shadow legs. As you can see in the picture, Stark is a bit shorter than the Mark 42 armor which makes sense in a real world way. He'd definitely be taller in the armor.

The Mark 42 is about the same size as the Mark VI. The 42 is a bit sleaker as seen in the movie and the brand new sculpt looks great.

The Mark 42 has all the articulation we got in the IM2 line with a few points restricted. The shoulder pads keep the arms from moving out to the side and the neck joint, like almost all of the IM2 armors, can't look up. But the 42 has the new rocker ankles that we've seen on Renegades Scarlett.
The paint on both these figures is really good with little to no slop. The gold on the Mark 42 isn't quite as bright as I remember it from the movie but it looks good. The ARC Reactor on Tony's chest is nice and clean on both the figures I got.
Overall I'm extremely happy to finally have Tony Stark in my 4" collection and getting a fully articulated Mark 42 for the Hall of Armor makes the $40 this set costs a little easier to justify. The rest of the set (Mark I,II,III,VI) are the same figures we got in the IM2 line with some slightly different paint applications, most notably the enhanced glow of the chest reactors and palm repulsors. You'll want this set for the Stark and Mark 42 and if you don't have the other figures then you'll have a nice set. A great buy especially with Amazon Prime shipping.
