Post reported for Lance not getting enough Baconators to share with everyone.

At least half of it with one person, since it's a frickin' DOUBLE...

The Mrs had earned some dosh from her needle-felting hobby/classes, and I finished a survey at the city consumer center for light some dosh. Went to TRU not expecting to see much, but I had a coupon, gift certificate, and a $10 off $50 from the flyer. Found her a new gal from the Mystixxs line, the Zombie gal which she liked, and a new Zelf for her collection, the small ones. Cute little buggers.

Wasn't much there for me, but the Hobbit stuff was finally 50% off, and finally got Bolg and Gandalf which I didn't have. They had the new Black Widow with the swept hair again, and now I am scrambling all over my art desk clutter to find and replace the head I made for my Red Sonja with this one which looks infinitely better. Picked up the Schleich Dragon warrior(with a 25% off coupon) with the battleaxe, for his helmet, since I am making a Regdar from D&D fame to go with the Lidda halfling thief I made, and finding a good helmet for his look from the Player's Handbook has been a bear. Topped it off with another Bilbo because I needed his accessories for my and drbindy's D&D self customs. Adventurers need kit, I reasoned. Bilbo's sting scabbard and belt look nearly identical to the ones women wear in Skyrim with their dresses, so this will help complete some of the background gals I have made. Just need to replace Sting with the swords from the long ago AOME line which look like Skyrim steel daggers.

Lastly, on a lark, when I was trying to find the Dark Elves from the Thor line at 4:AM a bit ago I had managed to order one from TRU online, who were selling them but limited all orders to one Dark Elf. He came today, even after they had told me that the order was canceled (though apparently it went through anyway after I checked my card online) and damn, what a sculpt. The legs are nicely posable, as are the elbow lower arms. The upper arms, not so much as noted by others, the upper armor prevents them from even being raised outward. The armor on the chest surprisingly is only glued on, so if I want to augment him I can at some point. His kit(I really don't do or enjoy futuristic or gun-themed weapons) and eventually his head are going into my accessory bundle for sale or trade(I really need/want a Netiri bow for my Umbragen gal), since I am going to replace it with Angelforge's EXCEPTIONALLY SWEET Elven head. As heads go, it really does blow in all honesty, and the white braids in the back don't save it. The ninja tabi styled feet are a welcome surprise, as I have seen some Drow art where they gave them that style of footwear. Really, Hasbro dropped a serious ball in mass producing more Thor and Kurse over the Dark Elf warrior. Especially since the back of the card states that they have been long enemies and war and all that jazz.

Oh, and my trades came in the mail, and drbindy with a previously bucky too, are rockage cubed. Thanks a ton guys.

I'll post pics later, but here is the info on the display unit I bought yesterday.

It is made out of lightweight aluminum, two legs on each side and one centered in the back. Easy to pick up and move.

The three rounded 1/4 inch plexiglass shelves are 21 x37 inches, set at 16 inches up, 35 inches up, and 54-1/2 inches up.

There are brackets on the ends of the shelves to hang hooks or hanging brochures.

There is a banner section for a promotional insert at the 73-83 inch off the ground mark. It is 10x37 with an inch frame.

Appears to have been a display shelf for the 'Ashley-Sleep Ecofusion Tencel' pillows.

Footprint is just a little bigger than the 21x37 shelves.

Big Lots had one of their 20% off your whole purchase sales today, and surprisingly, they had something I wanted. I picked up the PTE bombed-out building playset that I've wanted for a long time, to make a custom I've had planned for just as long. It was $29 after tax. I also picked up the TMNT mouser army builder pack at Target. I'm not a TMNT collector, but I've always loved the mousers.

I have been looking for the Mousers for about 2 weeks now. I am not a TMNT fan either but I love those little guys. I have a few from the last cartoon series (came with the April figure).

I got really lucky, they were right at the front of the peg (I hate the tmnt packaging...no way to tell who is there without going through every figure individually). They're awesome...the heads are on ball joints and the jaws and legs are articulated. They look exaclty like the classic series mousers.

Picked up a Retaliation Duke for $6.50 at Walmart, and another Mousers pack (my daughter claimed a few of the ones from my other pack, so I needed to replenish my ranks while they have tea parties with Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie).

Also picked up a TF Generations Blitzwing at Target on clearance for $11. I've always liked the character, so I figured why not? Holy crap, do not buy this toy. This is the worst TF toy I've ever bought. All three modes look terrible, the pieces barely fit together, and the whole thing feels like it is about to break several times during transformation. I'd heard TF fans didn't like it, but I figured that was just fandom rage (like we get when a Joe's hand is positioned weird...and the Fall of Cybertron Soundwave got bad reviews, too, but I loved that). But no, this is junk. Definitely glad I didn't pay full price.

I like the FOC Soundwave too. I bought Springer and he's really cool but decided against blitz, I like his robot mode some but the rest is just mediocre. Good thing you got him at a discount

The robot mode isn't terrible, but it doesn't stay together well. The part where the shoulder joints connect constantly pops out.
