Okay here are my mods to the spot light. Who knows maybe one day i will drill it and add a dollar store booklight bulb for illumination.

Again I used blister pack plastic for the out lense and a booklight bezel for the inside. Still going to try lining it with foil just to see...

As far as the tires went I used a small tool that looked like a mini crow bar that came with a bunch of small screwdrivers with a larger grip handle you could slide on each one. Got it a Family Dollar don't know if they still sell them. I think I mentioned them in the post. I really just got lucky having that tool that worked on the wheels! The screw driver set is partially visible in teh back ground of photo number 7 I think beside my rechargable screwdriver/drill.

You should try Krylon ultra flat black camoflauge. It's my go to black best I've found.

I pried them off from the back. When i get home i will find the tool and take a pic. it looks like a mini crowbar. I'll admit i thought it was useless when i bought the screw driver set but i soon discovered a use for it!lol
The only other thing I could recmmends is covering the tires with masking tape preferably the blue painters tape.
Krylon flat camo. I'll try that. I need to go buy some flat black this week. Got a model contest coming up at Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) next week!

Try spraying with a satin clear coat instead. Don't get right up on it, just let the mist find it's way onto the surface and coat evenly. Usually this is my main way of taking out various paint imperfections.

I'll have to try the satin. Would it help the peal and stick decales blend in? I alwo have some Testors dull coate but i ahve always been afraid to use it.lol I'll try to take a pic of that tool this weekend. It looks liek a very small black handeled screw driver with but with a v-shaped crow bar tip instead of a screw driver head.

The satin is a good idea. I always use Mr. Super clear Flat UV cut. Just make sure the paint is completely dry first. Also if you use the ultra flat you won't need primer it covers so well. I honestly never use primer anymore, you don't really need it. Well unless you do filler work of course. Your Hummer looks pretty cool can't wait to see it done. Oh yeah one more Krylon tip shake the HELL out of it when your done shake it some more.

I use Testors Dull Coat on all my vehicles. I have never had any issues. Just don't spray in high humidity. I have never tried that so I don't know if it would affect the testors dull coat, I do know that high humidity wreaks havoc on Games Workshop dull coat spray. Learned my lesson there.

I always dull coat over decals, whether they be Hasbro or Cobrastickers repro. It makes them blend in with the paint better and makes them look more like waterslides. They will not have nearly the painted on look that waterslides provide, but the dull coat definitely helps, especially with Cobrastickers products that have very precise edges and don't have the excess around the image like Hasbro. I usually trim Hasbro decals with an exacto knife to avoid those extra clear sections that are hard to hide.
