Son of a [LASER BLAST]! I didn't want to have to customize a Valkyrie and an Executioner.

Effing Hasblow.

Cancelled yes, but they're trying to find spots for the figures elsewhere.

Sky ain't falling yet.

With the line rebranding based on the movies, I could see all three coming out under the Avengers banner. Toy Fair will tell I suppose.

Here are some comparison shots of the lower torsos.
It's kind of hard to tell on Falcon's painted torso, and Cpt Britain's painted torso (can't find my blue K-Mart one right now).

Captain Britain and Falcon do look like they have the same lower torso and thighs (my CB has different waist & thighs), and if they don't have the same lower torso as Guardsman, then it is VERY close.

They all have that same distinct muscle pattern on their lower backs, and the little 'notches' on top of some of their abs.

you know, if it wasn't for the nature of this hobby, you'd have some explaining to do on those pics. Looks like ads for the all male superhero review.

Could've been worse.
I was already feeling a little creepy, which is why I didn't point out that Falcon's and Guardsman's butts and groins look the same. :shifty:

I'm calling it: the entirety of Hasbro's 18th Marvel efforts have sucked. They've completely mismanaged what could have been the successor to Star Wars, but they've bungled so much stuff you'd think H-A-S-B-R-O spells 'Mattel', imho. No bike for Ghost Rider, no FF team in matching uniforms, no Bathtub despite it being do-able with just 3 diff molds, and while it looks like one of the sculptors actually has talent and cares about improving his product, the engineering across all the lines has been terrible. It's just insulting to have the same company produce Joes and MUs and have the MU team appear to learn nothing from their counterparts - and why would you put your most talented creators on your 'smallest' line, anyway?

I don't have the time right now to watch a 17 minute long video, so I don't know all the details, so I probably shouldn't say anything without all of the info, but that is sad news. I know you said they'll try to get them out later, but they've fooled me countless times with that line before haha. I think Executioner is the biggest loss. He looked great. I wish they'd package them in the Thor 2 line and send the Dark Elf out with them in more plentiful numbers.

Again, I don't have all of the info, I'll watch the video later, but if I don't get my Marvel Legends Bulldozer, I will riot. I will write the unhappiest e-mail they've ever seen...

I don't collect ML figures, but I was actually going to get that Bulldozer. He looked so visually interesting.

I have always felt this way. I think G.I. Joe has always been the gold standard of articulation and poseability so I have never understood why the Joe tooling is not Hasbro's standard. Why Star Wars has long been semi-poseable statues, why the Indy line used Star Wars style sculpts and why this MU line goes off in it's own direction for figure construction. I feel like a standard Joe body style would be worlds better and more cost effective as toolings can be shared across multiple lines. Never made sense to me.

Yeah, after watching that video at http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?cati ... emid=16635 , I'm not sure rebranding the line as "Avengers" is a good idea.

It's just getting so frustrating. About ll I see around here is Iron Man 3 lingering. Certainly no sign of Thor: The Dark World. And there's a lot of non-movie stuff they could do with the Marvel Universe line.

I found Baron Zemo at Target late last week, at least, but still... :-/

The narrator of that video makes a point though -- the lack of availability isn't Hasbro's fault. And I look at the Marvel Legends figures shown near the end -- like Radioactive Man, and heck, Batroc even. I'd like to have those figures. Wish I was confident it would happen.

I watch this video and I see some cool stuff. Here's hoping most of it happens -- and is reasonably available.
