So, I picked up a set of 5 Shocker figs from an eBay seller - CHEAP

And by CHEAP, I mean they came with Dr Octopus heads (as used here:). And no shocking gauntlets.

Thanks to RodimusVTS, I was able to procure a head (luckily cast in yellow):

Thanks to the Data Viper release, I was able to customize up some gauntlets:

I'm not familiar with this guy either, but your gauntlets are a 1000 times better than the ones in the package there.

I think you should continue the painted quilt lines down across the body and arms.

Is the mask painted, or sculpted with the quilting? Either way, it's a very tight paint job. Looks factory.

Agreed, that is my only minor suggestion as well. It really brings out the detail of the sculpt on the head and could do so on the torso and arms as well.

Thanks for all the comments & suggestions -

Yeah, the quilting on the head used the same brown as what I used on the leather part - I just watered it down a bit, painted the whole thing, and just rubbed off the excess, letting it dry in the seams. For the body, I went with a Citadel earth wash, and it just doesn't stand out as much - maybe because the plastic was too oily & I hadn't used a base layer of anything. As always, the photos seem to enhance the difference, but I see what you guys are talking about -

Here is a link to the head from Rodimus, you can see the great detail in the sculpt.

I think it was Slim19722 that used those removeable shin guards from a Star Wars Jango Fett as gauntlets for their Shocker figure.

I think you nailed it that the lack of the base coat is why the wash/inking didn't hold on the body.

Also, I dig the figure, and will have to track one down for my son. I'm not tremendously familiar, but he's been using him a lot in the Marvel Lego game.

Oh, which, btw, is a ridiculously cool game.
