That Sea Wolf is awesome. Do you have a pic of the Animal Planet mini-sub? I'm unfamiliar with it.

Thank you!

I passed on that whale set at TRU multiple times, because the mini-sub was all I wanted. then, last fall, I found they had the sub and the figure in a min-box alone, for a GREAT price, so I grabbed one. May want to scope it out.

Where at? I've only ever seen the Whale set.

Been a while since I commented on these. Love the dog sled team set. Those pictures should be in a JC Penny/Sears wishbook catalog.

The jon boat with the pontoons looks good. Now he has room for another figure too.

I was about to say the highlight of the White Tiger hunt is the tent. Glad to know you outsourced to family on that one.

No secret recipe. Patience, planning, passion for the subject matter, all things that every member of Joecustoms has :-)

Day 24 is up with Abominable Snowman. I could not do this project without this entry.

Nice! Who knew that the Abominable Snowman was really just an angry Wookie who got stranded in the cold? BTW, I think the Wookie was a great choice for the part!

also at TRU, but interestingly enough packaged differently. I found it for a pic last night, and remmbered it was NOT in the Animal Planet packaging. I want to say they had these up front at one point last year, as part of a display. The box was kind of an ocean blue with a wavy pattern on it.

I was at the aquarium over the weekend and they had a version of the sub for $22 I think.

I so remember those sets from my youth and the great adventures they brought. You've done the entire 50th justice, and as was said, I doubt we will see such a homage to a great toy line. If those were available at retail, I would get them and NOT customize them at all.

These are all great, but I need some behind the scenes/wips/parts lists. I love seeing these, but I want to know how to recreate some of them.

Thanks guys. The kind words are truly appreciated. Greenshirt, I'll have some WiPs and behind the scenes stuff to show once the project is finished. I didn't make detailed parts lists for all of these since there are so many, but if there are any recipes in particular that you're interested in, let me know and I'll post them.

We're down to our last week. Can't believe this project has gone by so fast. Day 25 is up with a JC Penney exclusive.

Gotta ask. What's the deal with the Desert Patrol guy's skintone? Is he tan or some non-white ethnicity?

Now I want to chase down a PTE willy and paint it beige! The parka is creative; do you have a pith helmet to swap on him?
