I just want to ask, nothing taking away from your awesome addition, but why did/does the desert adventurer come with a raft?

Mysterious Stranger, this Adventurer is my version of ''Black Adventurer'' (He'll be back later this week). I didn't want to simply use the classic vintage head repainted in brown, so I used 25th Steeler. I hope to improve the head down the line.

Cyko, I don't have a spare Pith helmet at the moment. This Adventure kit ended being a hybrid between the *Desert Patrol* Adventure (which is described in my post) and the *Sandstrom Survival* Adventure (which was very similar except for the green jeep and different clothes for the Adventurer). The latter included a woodland camo poncho. I went with this since a beige-clothes-pith-helmet-wearing Adventurer is coming up later this week :shifty:

JM70, I think Bindy found the reason for the raft. At any rate, once I setup my display for these, the orange raft is a cool addition :-)

Day 26 is up with Joe from across the pond - Action Man! Tomorrow, we're starting the home stretch.

Both Action man figures are fantastic.
The red beret paratrooper must be one of the more iconic uniform of the line.
Did you plan of doing the basic soldier? :-D

From a strictly figure perspective, I think the para is my fave of the set.

Also thanks for the explanation on the poncho. That makes a ton more sense

You nailed these two beret'ed soldiers! More delicious camo, too.

I am not sure yet. These were late additions to the project. I had planned on doing Skydive to Danger, but I "outsourced" :shifty: the parachute and it was not ready on time. I found a good website for UK Action Man info and these were the two that jumped out at me. I know that the RAF pilot and the British Commando would also be fun additions. I would like to do some more research and I will need to order some more vintage heads, but I would love to add to this series before the end of the year.

The American airborne trooper was a nice piece of kit. The SAS was a very popular one as well. :)

Thanks guys. Seriously, I'm running out of ways of saying that. I truly appreciate everyone's comments and I'm glad that this thread has become part of the morning routine for some. I know I'll miss it when I get up next Monday and have nothing new to post lol.

We're getting down to the wire. Five more days of new reveals. After that, I have some group shots, deleted scenes and behind the scene stuff planned for next weekend.

Since that is still a long way off, day 27 is up with the most iconic AT vehicle there is: the Official Adventure Vehicle.

Iconic and executed so well.
Fantastic job once again.

one of the gems of the line, both here and for the vintage stuff.

only nitpick is the lego piece. I know it is part homage to the undersized vintage piece...almost wonder if the vintage one wouldn't fit here?

That is a great idea. It had not occurred to me since the original is a different scale. But, like you said, the 12'' version is undersize and my version is oversize, so it may work. Anyone have a vintage winch to trade? :-D

That toy line that was playmobil- like at target a few years ago had a sarcophagus that would be perfectly small.
