The Wraith, a mysterious card driver who methodically eliminates the members of a car drag racing gang that terrorizes a small Arizona town. No one knows where the Wraith came from but his appearance coincided with the appearance of a new stranger in town, whom appears familiar to the leader of the car racing gang.
The Wraith is one of those classic 80s film gems. Starring Charlie Sheen as the Wraith, the film is full of great dialog, car chases, mysteriously dark vigilante, and one of the rarest cars ever made...the Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor. How rare? So rare that Dodge only made 2. Originally intended to be used as a PaceCar for the Indy 500. The producers of the movie were able to convince Dodge to use one in the film. Body kits were created the race scenes and the crashes. One of the M4Ss is in Leno's personal collection.
Not much is known about the Wraith. Its appearance begins with orbs of light descending down from the night sky and taking form as the driver and the futuristic looking M4S. Is the Wraith an Alien, Demon, Angel or the soul of the murdered boyfriend of the gang leaders girl? No one knows.
