Um, the picture of the figure? They can't use a mold to produce two diff figs at the same time. Also, the Club has to pick from molds that aren't already needed, which means the suited buck was sitting around with no future plans by Hasbro. If Hasbro had no plans for it, that means they don't see any value in making a figure of a character from a multi-billion movie-and-tv franchise that collectors have been clamoring for since Iron Man 1, but do see value in using for a one-off appearance of a - let's admit it - minor character in a comic book released to a Collector's Club.

CLOWNSHOES, and it's pretty much exactly what one expects from a company that mass-fires all its talented staff.

The obvious fact of an action figure's existance is a conspiracy theory? Bite me.

I like the parts and paint. I would only want the goggles propped or removable.

Ozone works for Ozone, but would work for Colton better.

Outback's beard works for me, but goggles, knit cap and ear muffs? Not so much. Should have used the head from DTC Outback, otherwise, I like the figure.

They are all over the place with these figures though. Two Eco-warriors, a ninja, a survivalist, and an odd coloured Steel Brigade. Should have saved T'bang for a Ninja Force set or included Dojo and Nunchuck in this set.

It's pretty clear no one has any interest in suited figures. An Agent Coulson would sit and warm the pegs just like Professor X. No, Hasbro's much smarter to make figures like Hercules and Nighthawk which go flying out of the stores.

(Did the sarcasm come through strong enough in that?)

That's not Outback. That's summertime combat Snowjob, in his global-warming attire....

This set is pretty disappointing. The only ones I'll be interested in are most likely the ones that everyone will want making it not worth it to buy individuals off of evil-bay. Probably going to buy a boxed set so I can get the loose set and then unload the box set. So if anyone is not a member and wants the boxed set for cost plus shipping, send me a pm.

Outback is a big disappointment to me. From a technical perspective, the figure is mostly ok from the head down aside maybe from the shoes. But, the POC Snow Job head just doesn't work and is too recognizable as such. Plus, it would have made more sense to give us an updated Battle Corps Outback with the Eco-Warriors connection. I guess it is nice that this was a concept vault design, but it never was revealed to us and therefore wouldn't have been missed by anyone.

I think it seems pretty clear at this point that this set is sort of a potpourri of odds n ends, hoping to cash in on the zombie craze.

Okay, I wish the helmet were removable.

HOWEVER -- I think the overall look of Outback fits the theme of the set. Outback's a survivalist. I think about his attitude when he first appeared in the comic book. He'd been sent out into the wilderness to test some new survival equipment, which he promptly proclaimed as "junk" and declared that he'd spent the rest of the time "living off the land, and living good".

That's fine and well if you're on what amounts to an extreme camping trip. It's going to be a little different if the "undead" are prowling the woods. Outback is no fool. He's going to arm himself with whatever he can reasonably get his hands on that is going to allow him to (a) survive in the wilderness and (b) deal with any nasty surprises he comes across. That's what I see in this Outback.

Really, in a way, the whole set makes sense to the theme in an odd sort of way. While we haven't been given the full backstory yet -- which I assume will be presented in a comic book included with the convention set -- it's reasonable to assume that Cobra has developed a way to create zombies or at least zombie-like beings to unleash on unsuspecting populations.

Fighting zombies probably isn't on anybody's resume on the G.I. Joe Team. They're going to have to bring teams together that wouldn't normally seem to be logical choices. A survivalist. A ninja. Someone from the Steel Brigade. Bring back the Eco-Warriors with a new mission. And hope it works. I'm not saying that IS the theme of the set, but every zombie movie I've tried to sit through (and I still don't get the appeal) seems to revolve around the basic theme of throwing together a rather odd lot of survivors to try to fight off the undead hordes.
