So I picked up the Transformers Generations 30th Anniversary AUTOBOT WHIRL yesterday at Toys "R" Us -- I had a rather generous coupon.

This is a rather odd-looking Autobot who transforms into a pretty cool-looking copter, that despite the largely steel blue color scheme is obviously a military-style chopper.

Much to my surprise, Whirl came with a sheet of labels. When's the last time you had to apply labels to a Transformer? And last year's SkyStriker Jetfire doesn't count...

Anyway, one label in particular caught my attention. It goes on the canopy, right about where you'd expect a military pilot to stencil his name on his aircraft. The name reads -- CW-4 WILLIAM S. HARDY :-D

So -- they've made WILD BILL the pilot fot Autobot Whirl! :wildbill:

That's really cool, but I'm more impressed with the fact that your TRU stocks stuff. I didn't even know Whirl was out. Never seen Rhinox in the wild, either. Just a ton of Blaster and Soundwave everywhere.

I won't exactly say I've been faring all that well lately. I came across Rhinox at Kmart about a month ago, and Whirl surprised the heck out of me (especially since the last time I checked HTS, he was sold out there, too).

Still hoping to find Waspinator, Tankor, couple'a others... The Walmarts and Targets have been pretty much worthless lately.

Whirl can be had on HasbroToyShop.com for about $16 + free shipping with the coupon code of FRIENDS14.

I forgot about Skids -- but $17.99!? That's a bit much for the carded guys. At least they're shipping, but I think I'll wait until they're somewhere a little more reasonable.

And HTS must've restocked Whirl. When I checked there a few days ago, he was Out of Stock.
