I am sure at the time that was considered madness. I don't know of any kids toy that was that big at the time. I am pretty sure marketing was thinking - how are we gonna fit that thing into a box?

I don't remember a toy that was released at this scale at that size since.

I'm pretty sure that's the biggest action-figure toy/playset ever made.

Technically if you connect the Eternia playset to Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain it is a bigger overall playset. Then again it is 3 playsets.

Totally forgot about the Eternia playset and had no idea the three could be linked together like that.

I think up to this point the biggest playset I can recall was the Death Star, maybe the 83 HQ. The Defiant and Terrordrome were of good size, but still not quite to the scale of the Flagg.

Yes but if you connect the Flagg to the Joe HQ, the Defiant, and the Terrordrome, that's even bigger and FOUR playsets!

I remember laying on my Flagg's deck as a kid. Those were the days.

Sold a seventy percent complete one last year the small parts where to expensive. Never even saw one till I was a adult

Not saying you were a fat kid or anything, but I wouldn't have thought it was sturdy or stable enough to bear the weight of a kid. I've often told some of my friends who want one that they'll have to set it up as a second bed as it takes up about the same amount of room as a twin bed.

I use to stand on it too. As long as you found the supports it was fine. I was a skinny little kid though.

I believe it. I would bet that I have a good 40-50# of toys on the deck of my Flagg.

I've been buying Flagg lots on eBay the past year, I stopped when I thought I was getting close to having all the "Big" parts. At the recent Joecon I bought the last Big I needed and assembled it for the first time last Sunday. The first thing I thought when I finished assembling it was "Okay, now what?". Still, I got most of the Flagg for under $300, so i can't complain.

As far as it holding a kid, I think it was at the 2009 Joecon where they were talking about the design aspect of it, and part of the requirements for it was the sturdiness. I kind of remember them saying something about having a room with Flaggs end to end, and adults walking across them to test for sturdiness and stability. They knew kids would be climbing all over the thing.

That looks like the prototype, too, where the boat was actually a little taller, until they realized the main deck section needed to be able to slide under a kid's bed.

I've heard the "Eternia" argument before, and honestly, I don't buy it. It's several smaller playsets that can be linked by a Monorail. Cue that obnoxious "Strike" buzzer from the Family Feud game show. Not putting down Eternia or the Masters, but that just doesn't count as far as I'm concerned.

The FLAGG remains the single largest vehicle/playset ever constructed for use by action figures. And I don't see that record ever being broken.

And because it's fried-day I agree with Trekker.

Plus, He man was not in 3 3/4 inch scale, meaning that it without argument still represents the largest play-set in the 3 3/4 scale.

It could be done again, but never as sturdy or as well. Maybe a cardboard set from the animal planet people or something.

I'd love to see a Flagg toybox that lifted up as storage for all the other toys. If you had the deck plates and top, I couldn't see doing a conversion as being that terribly hard.
