There was a request for comparison pictures of the new 4" DC Multiverse Keaton Batman figure with the 1990 Dark Knight Collection Bat-Vehicles.
I figured they fit here, better than in the "What I got Today" thread.

Here are comparison photos of the Batman figure with the 1990 Batmobile and the 'Turbojet' Batwing.

Those don't look bad at all, considering how old they are.

man I've got to get me a Batwing!
The Batmobile cockpit needs work. He is laying too far back. Plus it needs another seat.

Wasn't the Batman Returns version of that Batmobile a two seater? I seem to recall having a two seater Batmobile like that as a kid.

My plan is two add two seats to the Batmobile. The entire cockpit piece comes out when the body is unscrewed, and it shouldn't be too hard to do. Plenty of space to work with, too.
I also plan to do something with the Batwing cockpit, to make it fit the 4" figure better. I've already done some work to it by covering the holes on either side of the cockpit and on the wings, removed some guns that were molded on the wings near the body, and added the more accurate miniguns. Also removed all of the parts that made the body turn in to a 'Batmobile'.
Still have a lot I want to do to it.

The only Keaton Batmobile that was a two seater, was the Toy Biz open top version from the toyline for the first film. All of the ones Kenner did with the closed cockpits, were one seaters.

I'm thinking about the Toybiz one myself. Might be easier to add a canopy to that, though I don't mind the homage aspect of a convertible style.

The in-seat pics to highlight the primary flaw of the figure though, being the lack of any forward bend

Originally I was going to do the same. Use the Toy Biz Batmobile, and add a canopy. Then the lack of details on the sides bothered me, so I found a model kit with pieces that would work, but I would also need to carve the panel lines. It was really looking like a decent amount of work to get it where I wanted it to be. Then I started looking in to the Dark Knight Collection Batmobile, and saw that it had everything I was looking for, except the dual seats, and it was slightly smaller, too. So I changed my plan.

I also really like the Toy Biz Batmobile, and I'm still glad to have it, but for a much more film accurate Batmobile, it's the DKC version for me, all the way.

You are correct that the figure doesn't do a full 90° forward bend at the waist, but in the pictures I have him reclined with the contour of the seats, to help show how much room there is. He will sit upright, more than I have him in the pictures.

I'll add some input to this thread if that's cool. I went ahead and got the Toy Biz two-seater. I really dig it. Ultimately, I'm using this for my EXCAL Batman, and not a Keaton-specific one. So I removed all the stickers (will add some detail to the dashboard in place of those stickers, and maybe a raised panel bat emblem somewhere on the exterior. Not sure if I'll bother with a canopy or not, as I like this overall, and I don't feel bound my screen accuracy.

Here are some pics of my customs in it. Not a full blown photo shoot, just an in-hand preview.

And speaking of Keaton, that headsculpt is just fine. The poor paint apps have turned a lot of people off. But just painting it all flesh you can see how nice the sculpt is.

The cartoon painting on that head was really disappointing after the prototype pictures.

wasn't even cartoon painting - it was no paint plus a woefully misplaced pupil (seriously, it's on his lower eyelid). But if you don't mind customizing, the sculpt still works.

Absolutely! :-)

It really is a pretty nice Batmobile, and going for almost an 'alternate universe' version that is like a cross between the Keaton-Mobile and the West-Mobile, makes me appreciate it even more, as-is.
Looks great with your Bats and Robin in it.

I was really hoping this was the case, and I am glad to see it was.
The head looked great in all of the promo photos, but you could tell it was painted. The production head is just very 'plasticy' looking. So I was hoping that some paint would make the head look closer to the promo photos, and it sure does.
