Breaking down cost, if one were to do the all in, I estimated for figures alone you are looking at $13.16 a figure. That's not bad at all, and I'm estimating that on what looks like you will end up with 38 figures. Add in the 4 accessory sets and you bring it down to $11.90 per figure and accessory pack. You still are getting the shirt and print as well, and add those in brings it to $11.36 per figure/item.

That's if you can afford the 500 or are considering it but need a reason to make it worth doing. I still am not sure I can do it. I have the pledge at my maximum that I think I can do right now, but that 500 is an option I may very well try to figure out if by chance every stretch goal opens.

Game over, robots not in disguise using flaming light swords is too much. Boss Fight wins. Flawless victory. All my base belongs to them. The Princess is in this castle.

That's pretty cool in an Optimus Prime kind of way. Though I was really hoping for something more like a naked BAT.

Are they planning on future kickstarters for the fantasy and sci if lines or is this kickstarter, in part, to fund the production of those lines as well as the Greek myth figures?

This kickstarter also lays the foundation for the future figures (as in getting basic tooling made)

I would imagine that sales from the first series fund the second, then those combined sales fund the third, etc., but I'm not certain.

Some very insightful Q&A!
some of my favorites...

It was accepted common wisdom that kids didn't care about articulation while I was at Hasbro, and I flat-out disagreed with that.

and according to the latest numbers the kids do care.

On the practical side, it can be very difficult to get different factories in China to conform to the same set of standards. Hell, we couldn't get the neckball size standardized on Star Wars, and we tried.

it's nice to know Hasbro was listening & did try

This is some valuable information. It's always bugged the crap out of me that neck ball sizes aren't standard across Star Wars or G.I. Joe. Now I know why. And knowing is half of something or other.

I just pledged $500... I can't believe I did it and I'm not looking forward to telling the wife, but I did it anyway.
Bring on the Stretch Goals.
I haven't been this excited about a toy line since I discovered Mego Superheroes Teen Titans on sale at Ben Franklins.

Yes I'm that old

that's the thing I would absolutely LOVE to go all in but there is no way in hell I can afford that. I just bought my first house so that I can finally have some actual display room but I need to repair more than the amount of money I have to do it so $500 would be way way too much. I like err love actually the figures so far except the robot thing, transformers like stuff is my absolute least favorite thing that can be done. was just never into that.

I must admit, they floor me. I have one hell of a soft spot for Medusa.

I was wondering one thing though, and I guess those more sculpting-talented of you customizers would be wondering too, is how well the "blank" male and female figures' plastic will take to the current sculpting compounds that you all use (Apoxie, Green Stuff, Two-Part Epoxy, and so on..)?

Cap,
I've not yet found a plastic that the 2 part apoxie I use won't stick to. So I'm hopeful that this plastic will pose no problems. I am a little worried about how well they will take to the spray paints I use.

I really hope they reach all of the stretch goals so I can maximize my investment.
The blanks will be cool for customs that require a certain base color. I won't have to dye anything.

So far one stretch goal met. 10k more unlocks two more figures.
