Okay, so most of you know that I pretty much learned everything about customizing figures from this site. My first figure I ever did was Hitori Ikiryo as seen here in the JC Gallery:

http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/customs_specific_item.php?kind=figure&uid=7516&id=11551

The original figure is pretty basic as far as painting and technique. He is frozen in position because I painted the joints and while I still think he is a pretty good custom and it still has value to me as my first full on attempt, I have learned a lot since then. I have been thinking for some time about how to redo this character using some skills I have learned from all of you and have this custom represent what can be learned through Joecustoms.com. I wanted this new Hitori to have full range of motion and be posable. I wanted it to show detail painting and drybrushing. And I included some modifications to gear, as well as modding rocker ankles to accept a traditional peg foot, which I prefer. So without further ado, this is my second incarnation of my original character Hitori Ikiryo.

(I'm also gonna use my newly learned skill of linking to photobucket to get more than 3 pics per post and I will include a pic of the original.)

Dusty, you're one of my favorite new customizers. The amount of talent that you've displayed in the short amount of time here is fantastic, and this side by side really sells it. Well done, sir.

Agreed, your original figure showed a lot of creativity and promise that you've followed through on. I can' think of anyone else who seems to have progressed from beginner to advanced so quickly. It's cool to see you revisit the figure that started it all. Technique-wise, it's great. Really nice use of drybrushing. Design-wise, I like him, but not as much as the stark red on white of the original. Maybe this is "Night Force" Hitori, because I'd hate to see him retired the red/white uniform as it struck me as very distinct.

I also like the use of that CC head, I think it's part of the strange appeal your initial figure had for me. Maybe for the next round try altering the head in someway? Make it even more distinct as your specific character.

Just some thoughts, but keep up the great work.

This updated one looks cool. I like the way you use used the drybrush in the figure.

thought I commented before, but I dig this. The first one showed you had the eye for parts, and could form a good story. Now, here you're showing off some skills with the brush.

I also dig having an original character and maintaining a prominent role for them (updating along the way as techniques and parts improve). That is a huge part of my customizing inspiration.

For the next one, I'd love to see you mod a head to get a glimpse at what is under the mask, or even have a removable one?
