Once again, my friend Otto, requested a custom of a rock band mascot (I made Somewhere in Time Eddie from Iron Maiden already) from me. This time he wanted Vic Rattlehead from Megadeth. He provided the body (Professor X from the Marvel Universe line) and head and arms from Montezuma Skeleton. I was able to modifiy the Monte hands and attach them to GI Joe trooper wrists, allowing them to rotate. The head was swapped with a casted head from OnyxPhoenix that I modified. Now for the fun... Looking at the figure in the suit with the skull, appeared bland! Vic needed something, he needed an ax! Otto stated that someone was going to make a plastic flying V, I told him not to worry about that. Instead, I hand crafted a flying V guitar out of coraplast, wood and wire (yep, the guitar has real wire strings). Otto had mentioned adding Chaly (Charlie) from Overkill to his roster. Since I did not use the Monte skull on Vic, I decided to give Otto a surprise. The wings, horns, fangs and eyes were handmade with greenstuff epoxy. As always, Otto was blown away with the work. I even made a guitar case to protect the Flying V during shipping.

As a Megadeth fan, I love that Vick.

Not totally sold on his ear chains, though. Myself, I'd replace them with some cheap necklace chain from the craft section of walmart.

Now, they just need an Eddy to hang out with. ;)

If it ain't broke, take it apart and lose some of the pieces. Then, it'll be a custom.

The ear chains were from Luke Cage necklace, I wanted something that appeared to be flying around. Also, I could never find chain in the scale that I need, and did not want to hand make another chain (which I have done before). Eddie does hang out with Vic and Chaly, over at House of Suburbanator! A while back, I made Eddie from Somewhere in Time for him. If you check out the JoeCustoms FB page, Otto posted an image of the 3 together. Along with one of William Perry that I did for him also.
