Welkin, you actually inspired this thread. :-) You started this, this is just where we continued your work.

I had no idea! :)

Some technical comments. The version of Heromachine I use is what's listed as "HM3". It's supposed to be a Beta test but works very well already and has tons more items, coloring options, etc. It can be complicated if you want to use all of the features, but it can also be used very simply.

I'm using the site with the Google Chrome browser on a Windows 7 computer. In that version, you can use the Export option that creates an image at a bunch of different resolutions. That's how I make the images you see on the site. Those images a bigger and more detailed than just taking screen captures.

Again, what's nice about the program is it can be as simple or as complex as you want.

Just wanted to mention that the helmet is made up of four parts. I've spent some time perfecting the look of the classic original 13 helmet, so here it is.

The first is a piece I call old school Ironman. I place that over the head and manipulate it until it gives me the ear coverings. I then add on the standard WWII with the cross hatch netting, adjusting that to match the other piece. I then add in the bar across the front, using the piece from the Headgear>Fantasy>last page. Then I add the microphone on the side.

The backpack is actually two of them, one rotated 180 degrees to make the entire thing look square/rectangular. Antennas are from the Blade section, second to last page.

I usually shrink weapons and grenades to 80%, because they seem to look better that way.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I just started what may be a series: G.I. Joes and Cobras as superheroes, starting with Scarlett and Cobra Commander:

I was interested to see that this link is still active: http://www.buildagijoe.com/

If that's been posted somewhere in the previous 17 pages that I missed, I apologize. But not wholeheartedly.

Very limited version of the same thing. I wonder if it's built on the same engine.

Yeah I piddled around with it, but was put off by the limited options it gave me.

I have no idea why he looks like Kevin Bacon...

He doesn't have eyebrows on the show, should I add them in?

Whipped this one up today, have no specialty or codename picked, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have no idea why, but Cross Stitch comes to mind.

Code Name: Cross Stitch
Primary Military Specialty: Logistics and Transportation
Secondary Military Specialty: Base Operations

Cross stitch is the mom that every trooper misses and wishes he had in the field. She treats every troop like her own child, and gets them up and moving in the right direction - be it up and awake in time for PT or halfway across the world on a 4 am scramble. Completed Army Logistics school, Airborne Jump School, Master Parachutist Qualification and the Officers Qualification exam with a 91% average score, she is also qualified in the use and servicing of squad automatic weapons.

From the Files of General Hawk: "She's the one that reminds you to pack cold weather gear when you head to Afghanistan, or lots of socks when you're running through the swamps. She actually cares, and handles the little details. It may not sound like much, but it's the little things that make all the difference for troop morale"

Barbeque doesn't have a belt and Outback doesn't have any backpack straps because for some reason when I clicked on the belts, I'd go to "transform" them and the action of changing their size or rotating them would affect the whole character.

Hmmm, I was leaning towards an admin/company clerk type character.

I do have some other behind the scenes characters in the works.
