Today's figures.

As always more pics can be found on my facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/pages/SGCapers ... tos_stream

First up SGCaper, that's me. This was one of the cake toppers for our wedding cake, I'm currently fixing my wife's figure since it ended up being covered in cake, expect to see that one soon.

Other then the gloves this is what I was wearing 2 hours into the reception after ditching my tuxedo coat and bow tie.

Here's a couple pics of us on top of the cake, I've posted these before but never pics of the individual figures.

Next is Mrs. SGCaper. I met my wife a couple of weeks before her birthday. Having only been dating a few weeks I had no idea what to get her as a gift so I made a figure of her as a super hero. She liked it so much she ended up making a costume of the figure and wearing it to her first Comic Con, NYCC. When people asked who she was she'd say, "I'm Shay." They would ask, "Who's that?" to which her reply was triumphantly holding up her figure.

I drew in her tattoos:

Next up is a batch of figures I made for a large commission.

3 Fire Fighters: I may have posted these 3 before but they were unfinished.

And finally 5 police officers. The person who commissioned me liked my firehouse duty uniform guys but wanted them as police. So I made a set up, slapped some badges on them (London Police as the client is in England) and some duty belts.

I need to go back and do a few joint touch ups, fix a set of derpy eyes, and I'm thinking of adding 5 o'clock shadow to a couple as well. Once I do that I'll take new pics as these all came out blown out.

You can see they aren't all the same height and have some parts variation I used 2 different Duke heads and want to go back and differentiate them a bit more. I think of them like 2 guys in my Fire House who everyone thinks are brothers, I did when I met them, but they are in fact not at all related.

Hope you dig 'em.

Your emergency responders are the best.

One of my only regrets about how we handle our wedding was me not making cake topper customs. I got to make some for friends a few years ago, and now really wish I'd done it for us.

Yours look great. What figures did you end up using on the bride figure?

Thanks!

My wife and I agreed from the start that I'd make the cake toppers and decorate the cake. I used a bunch of zombie customs I made as well as customs from Spectre, TheProsFromDover (Hawkeye), and Keenan.

For the bride I used a IJ bride figure as the base, which needed a lot of reworking and sculpting. I used MU arms and the head off a MU Kitty Pryde figure.

I wish I'd had that kind of leeway in the wedding cake decision when I got married.

Very nice work all around.

Wow! Thank you. That's some very high praise. I'd definitely say the same about you and your work.

Thanks.

Yes, listen to the podcast! I had a lot of fun being a guest even with the time constraint, my wife and mother-in-law were waiting for me so we could go to dinner.

I wish I lived closer to some Joe guys. Anyone in southern CT?
