Lex Luthor's greatest skill is the ability to see the underlying possible connections between things, and to profit off their interaction. Be it the possible connection between a sub-meson collimator and a quantum fabricator or the possible connection between a business partner's performance and how threatened they feel for their family's life and welfare; Luthor sees all the connections 3 steps before anyone else and has set plans in motion to benefit himself before all others.

Luthor's paranoid distrust of others and need to validate himself by achievement and accolade quickly led him to the top of both the research and business fields. His ruthless need to dominate without question made him a formidable opponent for both Nobel Prizes and Leveraged Buy-Outs.

Here, we see Luthor several months following his separation from the Brainiac infection. He's regained control of a cadre of faithfully-extorted scientists and markets their combined services on the black market as AIM Mk 01. Before his fall from control of LexCorp and takeover by the Brainiac infection, he had created Advanced Idea Mechanics as a free-lance research cadre available to the highest bidder for any technological need or goal. After the dissolution of LexCorp, a HYDRA consortium bought AIM from the rubble, and the group continues on after a series of leadership changes.

Luthor was the first to realize Kryptonite is a crystallized form of gamma-irradiated vibranium; and has profited technologically in a number of ways from that fact. His utility suit has a Planck-scale force field, essentially shutting Luthor off in his own individual pocket universe. He's assembled a Kryptonite blade reminiscent of those he remembers from his time merged with Brainiac. He also has a pair of Kryptonite rings enabling him to project K-beams of varying intensity and focus.

Luthor here is built off a Joe Torpedo or Eel buck with some bits from the DCIH Luthor (his 'arc reactor', the rings, glove cuffs, and hip pouches), and a movie RockBlock head. And a lightsaber and COBRA Cmdr heli-pack.

Great work! I didn't even recognize that as a Roadblock/Rock head. I love your design and updating his classic Super Friends look.

I imagine Clancy Brown's voice coming from him and it's dead-on for JLU Lex, imho.

I'm digging him. I'm a little torn on the Rock head, only because I do still see the Rock. But without the resemblance getting it my way, he does look exactly how I'd expect him to look.

If I had a recommendation (you know, because appeasing me is the key to this, lol), it might be to paint the head a real pasty shade of caucasian flesh tones.

Thanks, all. He's scuffed in more than a few places, because he's been bouncing in my 'Almost Done' pile that seems to be the lion's share of my collection. I want to give him an MU neck hinge for completeness sake and want to fix the scuffs but didn't want to deal with an entire repaint to ensure color matching..

Thanks, all.

That's a fun take on him.

I'm abigfanof that Torpedo torso and it works great here.

The head looks a little big, but only if you buy into Luthor as a workout fiend. For an old school take,it suits him.
