The wave of Avengers Assemble figures that has Nick Fury, Leader, Hawkeye and Thor showed up at Five Below. Just thought you guys might want to know, since I never saw a single figure of that wave at retail before the other day. I had to buy my Leader for $11 on eBay, and there he was on the pegs for $5. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up! I found Leader at one Five Below on my way home, and picked up Nick Fury and Hawkeye too because why not at that price? I think Fury's head sculpt looks like Terry Crews with an eyepatch.

Glad to have been of service. I actually really like the Hawkeye.

More like, we need somebody in charge of the line that gives half a rat's ass about it.

That Bishop has terrible, terrible arms. The painted on gloves make it even worse. That Spidey looks worse than the crap that is out now. Sandman and Beast don't look too bad.

Dark Beast seems to realize how much his figure sucks. That's definitely the face of someone who just realized he can't move at the torso or waist.

Except for the crappy painted on gloves, Bishop is pretty good. That Spiderman looks like junk.
Beast's arms are too small for the torso.

Bishop looks ok to me, painted details are nothing new for the Marvel Universe line. Sandman is good too, though I really wish he had swappable regular arms. Big Time Spider-Man and Beast are probably still skips for me.

Beast and Spidey are easy passes. I want a Sandman, but not badly enough to order the whole wave. I'll hunt for him at retail and if I trip over a Bishop along the way, I might grab him for fodder.

I feel like I'm in a bizzaro situation in that I'm more excited about Mattel's 4-inch offerings than Marvel's these days.

You have to decide whether wrist swivel or hindarm swivel is more vital. Apparently getting both in one figure is some kind of rare unicorn we should all feel blessed to have witnessed at all in our lifetimes.

Saw metric tonnage of the Guardians of the Galaxy single packs, even the Wonder Man plentiful at TRU. Also an equal amount of Captain Americas packaged the same way. But nothing else...no She Hulks, no Ares, no Valkyries, nothing but the above.

No new DC Multiverse, just the same 6 or 7 General Zods.

Those ReAction figures flew off the shelves in both TRU and Target. Surprised, but they did have nearly every one that was released in multiples. The Mrs. got me the clear Predator as a pick-me-up gift for all the budget and apartment work.

This. About many toy lines. Apparently, a lot of companies can't figure out this simple truth.

Almost the same here. But TRU has the Terminator and Aliens at clearance for $7.98. Hoping they get some good T-800s.

You'ed think Hasbro (now #3 toy company, BTW) would learn from/notice someone making single-carded 3 3/4" figures on REALLY COOL CARDS at $9.99 and selling them like crazy. Basically copying old G.I.Joes/Star Wars. That's why they're called "RETRO." Like AdrienVeidt said, "we need somebody in charge of the line that gives half a rat's ass about it."
