OK so everyone has made a helicopter out of one of these but here is mine.

I had been saving one of these to turn into a gunship when I found the right parts. I was at the thrift store and they had a smaller scale Apache. It was a perfect fit.

I SOOOO want this!! Awesome vehicle. Looks production, and if it was, I would definitely buy a couple!

Turned out great. Now I see what you meant about the hatch, but the wings look great where you ended up putting them.

And what you did with the skids is pretty sweet.

That's sharp. Would make a nice modern Dragonfly.

Very nice finished product! Much better than I expected from the WIP pics.

Exactly this. Once again Dusty79 has crystallized my thoughts eloquently.

this replaced the drakes as my favorite custom you've done!

Thanks, They definitely should have made this a helicopter in the first place.

Thanks
I still think it looked tougher with them up high but in this position it does look more conventional.
I had to beef up the skids in order to keep the missiles from dragging on the ground.

I try to only arm Cobra (and the Oktober Guard) because I figure there are plenty of stock military vehicles that would work as filler for Joe's ranks. But I did think it would make a good equal to oppose the Dragonfly.

Thanks, I see this in the WIP but I understand many may not.

Thanks, I like it but definitely not my favorite. It came out real nice but it is one of the simplest builds I have done in the past 2 years. It is probably only a 5 or 6 hour build. The Drakes were all probably 10 hours plus. Goliath was probably 15 to 20 hours. Zombie truck probably had 30 hours give or take.
So while I like it, it almost feels like a LBC due to the simplicity. LOL

Looks great. I saw one of these the other day I never realized how big it is. Again nice work. What's the tail from?

I like the decal, looks more like a Pegasus than a gargoyle though

Not sure what the decal is suppose to be but gargoyle seemed most likely.

It is definitely not a Pegasus. It is definitely a cat head and the tail is definitely not a horse tail.

My first thought was a winged lion (which is a sucky mythological name LOL) but no mane and the tale does not have the pompom at the end. I did not find much for mythological winged cats except for the griffin but it has a bird head. Many gargoyles are winged cat shaped creatures though.

Very cool. I agree this could make a good modern Dragonfly as well, but I think I prefer it for Cobra.
