In 1986, leading a covert black ops mission to Brazil under the guise of local para military group was Captain Claymore. Their mission was sealed. The members of the team that returned considered the mission a failure due to the primary target escaping. It's was believed to also be the beggining of a career long rivalry between Leatherneck and Wetsuit.

I was never a fan of Claymore's giraffe camo

Head, torso, arms hands - camo longrange
lower legs - lock down
webgear - combat squad recondo
helmet, heavy machinegun - gungho
uzi - snakeyes
knife, light - 1/6th

The mission was not sanctioned and they could not have any element tie the US to this operation. The team assumed the identities of local Brazilian Militia. Among them is the local operatives that lent their images to the Joe team while they liberated the villagers held captive in the mining operation.

Triton's extensive knowledge of the cove's underwater cavern system as well as his extensive underwater demolitions skill set allowed for Him and Urzor to liberate the villagers that Headman had been using as slave labor.

Urzor was revered a local hero until the Headman mission was completed and he was exposed to be not only the Guerrilla Forces leader that captured and enslaved the villagers but a long time Cobra Agent in Brazil that had sabotaged the original mission and allowed Headman to escape in the first place.

During smb2 firewall took the place of Mainframe due to his kia status, he was her mentor...Firewall was a minor when she hacked the Cobra DATAFRAME and stole the nanomite schematics. This made her and Daemon targets to Cobra and assets to the reinstated Joe team. Years after the original event she has paid her dues to society and enlisted. Under the mentorship of Mainframe, Dialtone, Sparks and Beachhead she has become a vital and unquestionably resourceful member of the GIJoe team. Distraught with the loss of Daemon and Mainframe, she found a personnel file that was similar to Claymore's.. almost a myth. She put in the request for assistance as documented and he to find and retrieve those that where still mia and listed as kia during the cobra civil war. Vanishing Point would contact her a month later from an abandoned Terrordrome in Texas, with a very much alive Mainframe.

Dialtone's smb replacement is me... Vanishing Point. Dialtone is surprised that no one on active roster outside Snakeyes can recall intetacting with Vanishing Point... "y'know.. big guy dresses like the A-TEAM van?" Ever notice that no matter when no matter when the Joes never run out of ammo, the right vehicle just happens to be ready and fully fueled for a chase. That's Vanishing Point... his official roles are requisitions officer and supply chief. If there is something that a team member needs or wants and it can or in many instances cannot be found Vanishing Point will find it. Once Shipwreck requested someone tie a bell to Snakeyes and the next day during mess line Vanishing Point slipped one on while handing him an apple. The next day Shipwreck awoke manacled to the cloister bell from the Flagg. Vanishing Point got a request that took some time to investigate, bring home anything for the fallen at Cobra Island during the second Cobra Civil War. The clues led him to the actual viper pit. To find a very much alive Mainframe has been hed captive by Hotwire using a version of the Brainwave Scanner to force designs for new Cobra tech. In the end they took up refuge in an abandoned decommissioned Terrordrome prototype in a Texas Salvage yard staring down a dozen cobra operatives and a small BAT army, when he place the call for the cavalry.

Lifeline has had some trials in his indocturnation to the Joe team, as a pacifist, he has openlyy disapproved of the combat aspect of the war against Cobra, hoping to serve in mor humanitarian roles more suited for his training, however much of his perspective shifted once the Joe team's primary field medic Carl "Doc" Greer was killed in action, forcing him to the frontlines. The awakening of the necessary force provided by his teammates became a less abhored action. There was a need to protect those who could not protect themselves, and that is what the GIJoe Team was there for. While he will not brandish a firearm agaist a living target, he is a trained marksman with, pardon the pun, surgical accuracy. His hand to hand combat training has been focusd on disarming and non lethal strikes as coordinated by Snakeeyes. He often spends much time patching up Cobra prisoners, much moreso than his counterpart Scalpel

I flipping hate hate hate painting Red and White

this figure has been in some form or another in progress for damn near 3 years if not longer

head = wetsuit
helmet, sigma strike duke + hitech v1 goggles
glasses - t-rat
body, neck down - copter Snakeeyes
pouches = shipwreck belt, frontal assault duke holster
lil gold cross earring saudered a loop and added to dogtags
stiletto - gungho

Mainframe was both an athlete and a scholar as a child, though as a self-confessed nerd, he'd much rather learn about computers than do anything else. He graduated high school at the age of seventeen, and immediately enlisted in the Army airborne. He soon headed into battle overseas, receiving his Combat Infantryman Badge, and later left the army to get his degree from MIT on the G.I. Bill. Mainframe then did a stint developing computer software in Silicon Valley, making big bucks and fighting boredom with a stick. Luckily, the Marines were looking for a few good men with just his qualifications, and Mainframe was soon back in uniform. He even served at the Pentagon for a time, before joining the G.I Joe Team as a computer specialist.

The world's ever-increasing reliance upon technology makes him a valued member of the G.I. Joe Team, and his ability to design computer viruses makes him a nightmarish nuisance of Cobra.

Dial-Tone was an engineering prodigy who specialized in telecommunications. As young as ten, he was already dabbling in making his radio communications devices and becoming part of a radio network group. He had other goals in mind when he entered the Army but found himself staying around as he saw a greater value for telecommunications in the military. That change in decision can also be attributed in part to a love for action.

While the rest of infantry appreciate Dial-Tone as being one of the guys who like to engage in an adrenaline rush as in a firefight, the buck, as they say, stops there. Dial-Tone's first love will always be radio technology and he still can't hide the techno-nerd that is in his blood.

Beach Head's life is defined by patience, discipline and absolute dedication to the profession he has chosen. When Beach Head hits the ground running, he doesn't stop until he reaches his objective. An Airborne Ranger through and through, Beach Head rises before the sun and does a ten mile run before starting his regular PT sessions with the unit. A former instructor at the Ranger School at Ft. Benning Georgia and a former observer/adviser at the Covert Ops school in Central America., Beach Head is a highly motivated individual with a high pain threshold, a moderate temperament, and a low tolerance for under achievers and slackers. Beach Head likes to be the first one out of the helicopter on a combat assault because he knows he can provide the best covering and suppressive fire to allow the rest of his team to deploy. To him anger is a waste of energy and doesn't accomplish anything, he'd rather get even. Rangers lead the Way.

Robert "Rocky" Balboa was the only child to a Roman Catholic Italian-American family. He never graduated high school, and his father told him he wasn't born with much brain, so he had better use his body. This encouraged him to take up boxing. He trained very hard so he could grow up to be like his idol Rocky Marciano. His nickname is "The Italian Stallion," spawning from his Italian-American heritage.

Wet Suit knew from an early age he wanted to join the Navy, and enlisted upon his graduation from high school. He eventually applied for SEAL training, was accepted and completed arguably the military's toughest training program. Like any other SEAL, Wet Suit gained a reputation for being tough and mean, though many instructors considered him the toughest and meanest. Seeking even greater challenges, Wet Suit signed on to the G.I. Joe Team.[1]

What many overlooked was Wet-Suit's sharp mind, which was easy to miss underneath his tough and abrasive personality. He is well read in both the classics and military tactics, and his fierce demeanor is offset by a surprisingly tender home life. He also has a long standing rivalry with teammate Leatherneck, keeping alive the tradition of competition between the Navy SEALs and the USMC. Their confrontations and verbal blow-ups are legendary, yet with their shared duty of protecting freedom, the two are the closest that each has to a friend.[

Before joining the G.I. Joe Team, Leatherneck was a corporal in Gitmo, a tech sergeant in the 1st Recon Bn in Viet Nam, a drill sergeant on Parris Island, and a gunny at Camp Lejeune. He earned a reputation for toughness in all of these places, and while he may not come off as likable, he has proven himself trustworthy.

As a drill instructor, Leatherneck assumes the role of an enemy when training Joes, turning himself into an insurmountable obstacle. He's proof that you don't need to like your fellow soldiers, in order to fight beside them. Leatherneck is ill-tempered, obnoxious, and holds irrational grudges against those who don't fit his definition of "worthy". The only teammate he seems to connect with is Wet Suit, and according to rumor, the two can't stand each other. Their rivalry stems from the tradition of competition between the Navy and the USMC, but their constant bickering conceals a shared respect.

Lift-Ticket's primary military specialty is rotary wing aircraft pilot, and his secondary military specialty is fixed-wing aircraft pilot. Lift-Ticket joined the army to get out of his hometown, scoring high enough on the aptitude test to qualify for West Point Prep., O.C.S., and Flight Warrant Officer School. He opted for the latter, thinking that it was the only one which offered training applicable to civilian employment.

Getting Iceberg to volunteer for an Arctic mission is never a problem. Being in places with cold weather is what he strives for. Cold desolate places may make others want to surrender but for him, it brings out the will to survive. While others tolerate the cold to the best of their ability, Iceberg immerses himself in his environment. If Dusty is Joes' answer to the desert environment then Iceberg is to the cold. Those two share a similar mindset in surviving the most unforgiving places on Earth
