I think I have one and the one I have is in scale with Joes.
It is currently packed away too deep for me to dig out but it was either Tonka or Nylint, I can not remember for sure.

They make a 1/18 scale semi model kit. I was looking at it last weekend. Price was $65

i have been watching ebay for a week or so, since i decided to do a maximum overdrive custom. no driver necessary, but i'd like to stay close to our scale just to fit with my other customs.

i snagged this one for a decent price

I just remembered that model was actually 1/16 not 1/18.
And as I think back I think my metal truck is actually Nylint.

The first Go-Bots should be close enough. I have a couple of Nylint trucks that are just a hair off scale too small, but close enough for what you want to do. The second black truck, judging by the wheels (if my memory serves me correctly), is slightly bigger than the first Optimus Prime. It'll be what ever scale that truck you won is.

well i was way off with scale. not being big into older toys i just ran with tonka only having one scale of these trucks. the truck i bought came in and it is way small, like 3" tall maybe 8" long. i'm pretty bummed. the one saving grace is the bobble head i bought is also much smaller than i thought. i got the bobble in last night and was like, dang this is going to be way too small for my rig lol

you pays your money........

all I can think of are those old 70s C.B. Mchaul figures and semis. but those trucks seem pretty hard to find and expensive.

Have one and they have seats that fit GI Joes buts the scale is way off. They are probably closer to 1:24 scale with larger seating.

An 1:18 Semi should be roughly 16 to 20 inches in length and should be just over 5 inches wide.

Maybe try one of these? I picked one up on sale, and it's technically 1:16, but I think it'll work very well for Joes.

The Thunder Machine makes a great base to scratch build it from.

It really is not that hard. Basics

1 cut off the rear end behind the cab
2 cut around the seats and build a .75 inch platform to re install them. This makes modern figures fit in the Thunder machine and is more realistic then sitting low like they originally do.
3 make a frame approximately 18 inches (with a sleeper) maybe 14 inches (without a sleeper) and mount the TM with the front at the front of the frame.
4 build the front end- this is easiest if you find a plastic vehicle with a hood with about the shape you want. cut it off and build from there. Use the hood to provide the shape for the top of the nose of the truck and build down. Depending on the type of fenders you want you can either use fenders off of an larger vehicle or scratch build them. Grill most likely needs to be scratch built
5 finish the cab. This requires overlaying styrene over the existing vehicle to get rid of the texture of the TM build a back wall, a front window, leave openings for side windows and then build a roof.
6 cut open the doors and attach them with a small craft hinge
7 wheels need to be roughly 2.25 inches. The Bass Pro truck wheels are actually a decent size and due to their width would work as a super single rather then duals.
From there it is just details

I was going to recommend starting with a Bruder dump truck, but those things are a little pricey. Maybe, if you could find a broken one, cheap.

I bought a Bruder and was very disappointed about how big it was. Just way too off scale for me.
