It breaks my heart when I think about the state of the action cartoon. GI Joe was epic but the fact that so few people have seen Spiral Zone (voiced by some of the voice actors from the GI Joe cast) is sad. That show would make a great live action series let alone a cartoon.

The fact that so few westerners have seen ARMORED TROOPER VOTOMS (the best action cartoon bar none) is crushing. This new toy lines design and cartoon choreography actually borrow from Votoms in obvious ways (look at those feet and then look at a scopedogs feet. Now watch both in animated action).

Dammit, I was perusing the life-size pic and commenting to myself how a plubky underdog company is gonna try getting into niches that Hasbro is abandoning; but now all I can see how hardcore that lady is rocking *mod edit*

I was able to acquire the series. I haven't had subtitles created yet but based upon what i've seen it looks like HALO meets VOTOMS for the modern age (and the HALO comparison extends to the villains / third faction as well. They look like Lekgolo with a touch of Covenant Elite armor). There is no shortage of action. Sniping, missile dodging, Dual automatic machine gun wielding and shoot outs with large numbers of robots.

52 episodes so far.

To see the World Peace Keepers logo emblazoned in the series multiple times is satisfying as a toy collector who enjoys media tie ins.

Okay, I don't know that I've got room for that life-sized one, but I'll gladly buy the smaller ones.

Still -- wow -- they're really going for a major media marketing blitz with this, aren't they.

TO be fair...this toy line is de facto state sponsored. It's being pushed by the government. I can't blame them. Joe worked well with regard to showing the US military in a positive light .

With that said though i find it interesting that the WORLD Peace Keepers name is shown often. There is a whole lot to say about that but the topic would become political . None the less i'm excited regarding this line.

This is a good example of how to treat this sort of information. Let's respect Suntzu's appropriate handling of providing the information, and not let this get off the rails.
