Pre-ordered 1 of everything + $11 shipping from BBTS = $236.xx. Doable, but this kind of thing can't become the norm for this hobby, imho.

Whoa. I'd be interested in these as potential custom fodder, but those prices are just nuts. I've paid a lot more than that for a figure that I planned to destroy before, but until I see one of these in person and have a chance to inspect the construction and articulation, there's no way in hell I'm throwing more than $20 apiece at figures from a company and a property I've never even heard of.

Somehow, some way; these look to still be happening. Which is good, I suppose. Toy Notch's utter lack of communication during the delay still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, although the packaging looks very nice.

They are videogames.

They've done three now. Most of the figures are based on the second game, though they have shown a few that I believe are from the third game.

I've played the first two, the second one has a great split screen co-op campaign mode, but I haven't gotten the third. Mostly because they got rid of the great split screen co-op campaign mode.

Anybody remember that there's a Lost Planet line coming? Looks like the first reviews are in, over at the Fighting 118th:

I knew I had an Ex-NEVEC and Waysider Femme on pre-order at BBTS, but hadn't known I'd pre-ordered them both twice. So, today I got both my Nevvies in and I've opened one to see what to expect from Toy Notch going forward, despite their poor communication efforts.

The package is similar to Acid Rain in that the box has a slipcover, and I opened the one that was upside-down in his box.

All told, I'm quite happy with him, and will def get more of this line (I'm thinking the Vagabundo will be the poor one of the line due to his bare skin just not looking well done). The joints are all typical Hasbro joints we're all accustomed to at this scale, and they work nicely. TN gave him pop'em balls for the ribcage and waist joints, but his range of movement is limited due to his gear. I'll try to shorten his chest pouches to allow him to move around more. His hips are like the modern low-POA Hasbro figures with swivel-hinge-swivel-hinge-swivel joints as you go across the pelvis from one thigh-swivel to the other. His hipwader boots prevent a convincing butterfly kick, but he can splay to a full 90° and can attain a proper sitting pose. He's got another thigh swivel above the knee, which is single-hinged, and an older swivel-hinge ankle.

He's made of a rubbery plastic in his entirety, but his chunkiness prevents this causing any problems except with his rifle, where one of then vanes is bent from the package. Some heat-n-cooling should fix it. That should fix the loose grip of the hands as well.

The only thing I think is truly an mistake is that the red cords are too short to remain plugged into the kneepads when they're posed around. I'll likely just cut them off, and maybe plug them into the pair of holes in the helmet and pack where airtubes look to have been omitted.

I won't be using any of these guys I get as Lost Planet characters since I still don't know who they are (or care). This guy looks like he'd be working as a bad guy Merc in the MU, to me.

My phonecam is crap, so take a gander at good pics over at the Fighting 118th.

Toy Notch showed off a handful of pics for their Hard baller mech awhile back on their FB page. They say the other figures should be available in three weeks, which is good news for me in regards to the Waysider Femme most of all. If you guys are cool with paying for ARW figures, you should sample a Lost Planet figure, too.

If the rest of the line is of the same quality as the Nevvies I got, this is gonna be a good line to get. I haven't begrudged them for delays any more than I have Marauder or BFS, but I've taken numerous opportunities to [LASER BLAST] Toy Notch out on their FB page for their poor communication. If they can fix that issue, they should be able to attain higher esteem in the community's eyes, imho.

Just got an email from BBTS that my Waysider Femmes are expected to arrive in the next ten days, woots. Ive got two of them coming to me, and gotta move some money over to cover them. They'll probably run the card tomorrow, based on what they did with my ExNevecs preorder when I got the email one day and they shipped them to me the next. I hope these chicks are as good as the Nevvies, with whom I was quite pleased. I've asked Toy Notch what their plans are following this first LP wave, but they say they're keeping focused on getting the HardBaller right before worrying about what's next. I really do wish they were more communicative, but if the product needs total concentration to come out well I can live with it.

Got an email from BBTS letting me know that my Mercenary figure dropped in to my POL.
If these figures are as good as I hope they are, he will be my first of many.
Especially if they still make the Snow Pirate Elite figure that they teased all those months ago.
Doubly so if they make some Carpet Bagger figures. Those are the two classes that my son and I play as, so I would totally be getting a few sets of each of those figures.

Just got a pair of the Wayside Femme in, and am pleased. I've already done a few tweaks to improve the range of motion at her neck and boob u-joint, and refitted her backpack to have a Joe-style peg. Both of their eyes are googly, but it's mostly due to her irises being too small and some judicious painting may help. If you're happy paying $30-40 for FSS Joes, you should be very happy to pay $22 for LP figures, imho. Based on the 2x of the WayFemme and ExNevecs I've gotten, they're very nice figures and I do believe I'll be getting the rest of the line, mechs included.

ZOMG, the build quality on this chick is unparalleled, imho. Not since the MicroMan line has a chick been able to bring her legs together to touch her knees and ankles together, but WayFemme can. It doesn't sound like any big deal, but it shows a dedication to capturing the human form I've never seen from Hasbro or Mattel. She can even cross her legs over.
