Following up on my X-men from several months ago, here are their arch nemeses, the Brotherhood of Mutants!

Magneto, Mystique, Blob, Toad, Pyro, Avalanche, and Boom Boom. Boom Boom has generally been a good guy, but she's hardly known and I wanted to diversify the team a little. Plus, power set wise, she's pretty much like Gambit.

Blob was especially challenging, the torso from Wolverine: Origins was not made to come apart!

Two more.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I filled the empty Blob torso shell with plumber's epoxy, so he weighs several ounces more than anybody else. I guess that's an action feature?

I have that Blob and he is seriously lacking. you really improved him big time. not sure about action features though ;p. you have me curious how did you get him apart.
they look good.

To get the blob apart, I had to cut off the stumpy legs with my dremel and then switch to a long drill bit to reach inside and drill through all the support struts holding him together. There were at least four, maybe up to six of these and they were completely inaccessible from the outside.

To get the Red Hulk legs to work, I sawed his thorax in half and then set it into the putty about 3/4 of an inch apart so it would fit the legs holes. And then of course I had to add more fat so he wouldn't have chicken legs. My sculpting isn't the best yet, but I'm improving!

Oh, and it should be noted that once I got the old arms out, the red hulk arms fit perfectly without modification. So there's that saving grace to what was otherwise a difficult project.

Wow, these are excellent!

I passed up on that Blob because I was sure it was a lost cause, that's a really impressive conversion.

Also, way to take the overused Storm Shadow mold and make it look amazing. Turns out a little two-tone, asymmetrical paint job was all it needed to really look good. Even just the straps on the white version make it look so much more interesting.

What's the head on Magneto from?

I may be stealing a few of these ideas...

Thanks! I'd be very interested to see these copied and improved. I based this magneto on a really excellent Retaliation Cobra Commander recipe that I saw on here a while back. I'll try to find it to give credit. He's got zartan's lower arms, motorcycle ridin' Firefly's lower legs (just cut off and glued, that was a low-articulation figure) and a Darth Vader cape.

Magneto's head and helmet combo are available from Vortious Custom Accessories, as are the open hands.

these are AMAZING!

i love each one, but the one that stands out for me is Avalanche -- I've been wracking my brain for two years trying to come up with a recipe, and I love what you've done here -- consider this STOLEN!

Well done.

I found my Magneto inspiration, it's this guy by Stronox:

http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/customs_specific_item.php?kind=figure&id=11195&tags=retaliation

Avalanche was a challenge for me too, I kept over-thinking it. You can probably already tell to look at him, but he's the deluxe Captain America with the lighter colored 25th Destro Arms and a Zombie Viper Helmet. I used a retaliation firefly head, but any will do.

I do have a Sabretooth that I'm very happy with, I was going to post him separately.

Those are really cool.

Love the "realistic" takes on Avalanche and Pyro.
