$5 for a fully articulated figure is indeed a good price. Knowing Bandai, we can be sure that the figures won't be rubbery, unlike what we can currently find in stores here.
They'll probably reissue Rider 1 as Rider 2, Shocker Rider, New 1 and New 2 if the series goes beyond that initial set.

I just wish somebody would do this with Guyver. We had the Motion Revive, Kiwami Tamashii, and now this line for Kamen Rider. There's not a huge amount of character overlap in those lines; but there are other properties than need 18th-img.

Aside from the single knees and elbows, that's a near match for the Motion Revive format. Which is good. Also good that they flipped the ankle balls around for better mimicry.

I agree with AdrienVeidt, and the lack of double-articulated elbows and knees doesn't bother me in the least. I'm still impressed they can turn out a figure this good for under five bucks, but I'm certainly not complaining.

So, 'Apologuyst'. Is that supposed to be 'Apologist' or 'Apollo Geist', meaning Apollo's Ghost based on the Greek-ish helmet and flaming shield being a callback to him being avatar of the Sun?

Apollo Geist.
The whole cast of villains from Kamen Rider X were Greek mythology based.
If I remember correctly, the first monster he encounters was Hercules.

Most cool. I sure hope there are subsequent waves, then.

Ya gotta remember that with these four guys you're looking at character designs running nearly 50 years old. Saying 'Kamen Rider' over in Japan is like saying 'Marvel Comics' over here, with all the attendant history and nostalgia that tags along. I've never seen any KR shows so I don't have that nostalgia beyond seeing them as Japanese analogs of Ditko Spider-Man.

But, I kinda agree because when I get these guys in I'll no doubt use them for bashing, esp AG. He's gonna be fun mixing up with some of the extra HACKS gear.

Kamen Rider X had the wackiest villains. Here's Starfish Hitler, he's pretty much what you'd expect from a Nazi themed starfish monster from 70s Japan.

It's not often that I can't come up with some sort of clever quip for something.

This? Sorry, got nothing... 8-O

I straight-up DEMAND subsequent waves of this line, now that this guy is a possibility:

These can be preordered from BBTS or AmiAmi

I've also added these to the 1:18 Archive
