Working on a follow up project, trying to get credits in order. Who wrote the Steel Brigade filecards? I didn't see a credit in that day's post. Was that Trekker?

Those were mine. :-)

It's hard to show exactly how much work went in to this. I am pretty sure that the correspondence related to this project was sometimes greater than the combined traffic of the site.

I have a final thought thing to share too. We wanted the Swarm to be a full subset, and an integrated army/military system in which all the bases were covered. I put together a diagram and process for how the swarm worked to demonstrate it to the guys, and I thought I would share it so that you could see how much thought went into making the SWARM work.

Sample Battle Engagement:
1. Nega Watt marks target and passes target to Drone Operator
2. Drone Operator updates Air Drone about target location
3. Air Drone sees Target, alerts ground unit reports to Glitch
4. Kickback sends suggestion for optimal reactive defensive posture to drone operator
5. Drone operator passes kickback suggestion to ground and air units
6. Glitch gives attack order to Drone Operators
7. Drone operators coordinate attack details with ICEbreaker.
8. Drone operators give attack commands to ground troops and air troops
9. Drones Attack
10. Techno BATS run predictive combat algorithm and position themselves to receive potential casualties
11. Air drone reports target destroyed to drone operator
12. Drone Operator reports target destroyed to ICE Breaker,
13. ICEBreaker assesses and updates identified target status
14. ICEBreaker removes target from threat map
15. Air drone reports target destroyed to glitch
16. Glitch commands stand down for engagement

Elapsed time: 5.2 seconds.

Seriously guys, if Hasbro put this much thought and imagination in a relaunch for GIJoe, I would be in 100%. There hasn't been anything this well developed since the 80's. This really had the feel of the 86 to 88 years for me, which was the high time of my collecting as a kid, before I became a teenage collector.

I would be scrimping and saving to get myself the cobra Anaconda, and make sure I have enough army builders to battle it out with.

I might even get some for my kids.

OB The thing that impresses me most about your work is the amazing volume of custom you actually build. I've never seen one figure or vehicle from you that looked half assed, your work is always flawless.
Bucky. Give your self more credit your vehicle work is really nice, and your figures also great.
Dusty. Your one of my favorite customizers, can't wait to see what you come up with next.

A titanic effort of customization crowned with a vintage style catalog that brings old good memories.
Excellent job. Congratulations.

Continuing my side project, need a filecard author for Dusty. Looks like both Trekker and Raptor worked on the mail-away figures, you guys remember who did this one?

And Raptor, the intel-schematic thing is really cool, amazing level of detail and thought in how the SWARM operates.

EDIT: Also need the filecard author for Motor-Viper and Worms.

I did Dusty, Trek did Motor-Viper and Worms.

And thanks! It's nice when you can incorporate your profession into your hobby (as you well know).

Did Sam write Prodigy's filecard in addition to coming up with the character?

No, I do believe that Trekker wrote his card. Sam came up with the concept of the character and of his son being on the Joe team.

Cool, thanks!

Any record of who wrote the vehicles blurbs on the back of the boxes? Was it generally the person who wrote the pilot's filecard, or something Sam did when designing the package?

I think Oreobuilder wrote a lot of that text that kind of reads like it would in an advertisement.

ALMOST done with my "special project."

Need an author on Sabot-Viper's filecard. Going by the longer second section, I assume it's Trekker's? :)

Also, just double checking on Nega-Watt's author. Listed as William Carr. Just curious who that is. :)

Sabot-Viper was written by GI Trekker

And I believe Billy Carr is Kilcarr. But I think you knew that.

I did not mention this anywhere, but all the Gatling gun barrels on my customs on this project were cast by Nova. Thanks man.
