Congrats on the first word. Its a girls so look for her next one to be "money". But again congrats I remember that feeling and its a wonderful one.

Chief great dio, but it looks a little cramped. If you want you can box it up and ship it to my house. My wife gave me another room for my stuff, I just have to clean it out, so I will have room for it...lol. I like the combo of Jones and the Phantom. All you need now is an Alan Quartermain figure from King Solomon's Mines to join those two on an adventure. But again it looks great!

Thanks for the kind words! -- I keep forgetting that I haven't posted here in forever, so everyone who joined JC in the last year or so haven't been bombarded with my custom pics - but how's this? ;-)

And I'm actually doubling the size of my jungle dio to accommodate this temple and a couple of other playsets that I've snagged over the years. danielb and I were just discussing my plans for expansion when he came down to visit this weekend.

There'll be a flood of Adventure Team dio pics once I get it put together.

Dang that's a good looking Quatermain. I was just thinking about the character after watching the movie yesterday. I hope we get to see your jungle expansions Chief, as it is great inspiration.

Edit: Finally, a chance at a bit of light amongst all this life crap. Don't have it in hand yet, but got a sweet deal on the Playmobile Viking ship, well, WELL below what these things go for. Floki custom, here I come.

Just have to make it a but more 'weathered', and add some ship essentials (water skins, victuals, raider bow and arrow groupings, and a few bags and sacks.

Looks good Chief. Looking forward to your AT customs. They always rock.

It has been a day or two since you've posted.
How long has it been since the "white-out" incident?

I remember seeing one of those in TRU... I wanted to get it if it ever got marked down. It never did.

I wanted to use it as a centerpiece for a set of Erik the Viking customs.

Didn't get a chance to post on Saturday, but I managed to get up to the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua, NY for the flea market.

Only one place had any ARAH GIJOE figures, but they were ridiculously priced and many needed to be repaired.

Managed to get:

1992 Rusty Wallace Racing Champions figure
Deuce and Domino WWE Build and Brawl figures
Marvel Showdown Dr Doom torso
Marvel Showdown Punisher (missing arm)
Marvel Showdown Ghostrider (missing leg)
Pixar CARS 2 Francesco lights and sounds car
Chap Mei (esque) jeep with roll cage (body is tan with baby blue roll cage)
2x Kung Zhu Battle Vehicle 'Spider Skull' bodies http://amzn.com/B0039LZIBS
10x 100 count 4x4 bags
2 section to some type of tracked vehicle. Both have safety orange wheels with rubber tracks and have connecting hitches on each end. One segment has two equal sized wheels with two sections on top to attach some sort of upper section. Second segment has two big wheels and one smaller front wheel with three sections on top to attach something. No markings, but body section is silver/gray.

Anybody ID this?

I miss the days where I could leave with a bunch of GIJOE vehicles and figures...

EDIT: What I plan to do...

I wanted to get an Indy car vehicle that was close to JOE scale to make a Cobra/MARS/Extensive Entreprises sponsored race car. If I could have found more of the Cobra Invasion Troopers, I would have used them as the team's pit crew and then make up a driver. Just thought it would be cool to see Cobra trying to improve it's PR image by expanding into a popular sports niche in order to subvert it. Having a driver with true villain-esque qualities could be an interesting thing

I've gotten a few of the Kung Zhu vehicles before. These skull ones look like they could be bashed onto some JOE LCV Recon Sleds or Firefly last Board sleds for some armored Dreadnok vehicles.

Dr Doom would be turned into a bust.

Got more of the Star Wars army men. TRU Canada is currently having a sale and the basic packs are only $4.

DJ those track sets belong to one of the bigger Matchbox Mega Rig playsets from a few years back. I found a set at a thrift store, and used them for an updated VAMP II. I have looked all over for another set, so hit me up if you decide to get rid of them. ;-)

Got my 50th "Desert Duel" set today. I wasn't a fan of the AWE Striker when it was shown at JoeCon but getting it in hand I'm coming around to liking it.

It is a fun little vehicle. Just enough additions to make it worth it.

Yep. Having it in hand definitely helped sell the whole vehicle/playset combo.

Picked up the new BBI 5pk, 50th Joe Vanishing & Sneak Attack 3 packs and was surprised each one rang up 10% off. The Joe 2 packs were restocked, but in the aisle with the DC stuff, even though there's still a peg in the collectors section for the 2 packs, 3 packs were 2 aisles over. So they're just sticking the Joe's anywhere.

Got my set of the Marauder Task Force carded figures in the mail today. Matching set of #4 of 40 AND MJ signed the front of the cards in gold sharpie for me. Now I just have to dig up a couple Star Cases to put them in then they go on the wall in the hobby room.
